Good morning!
I was sent the Perfect Layers Tool 3 to play with as I already had the Tool 1 and 2 in my stash! I used the 1" side on
Tool 3 and 1/8" side of
Tool 1 to create my faux polaroid vanilla mat on my first card. Then, I used the same 1/8" side to cut the green mat for the frame.
For the card itself, I cut a 1" brown mat for the patterned paper strip on the card front, stitching both edges with a zig zag stitch with my sewing machine. I used the lovely
Happy as a Lark (for the bird) and
Lark Additions (for the sentiment) on my card, stamped in coordinating colored inks.
For my second card I used TCM's
Lark Additions along with my
Tool 3, 3/4" side to cut several strips of patterned papers to weave on my card front. After I weaved them, I adhered the strips down and then embossed it with a texture embossing folder. I wish I would have picked a less textured folder because I think all the embossing is too busy with the strips, but what's done is done, right?
It's time for me to send you on to the next stop on the hop:
Karen Baker!
Before you go, I need to let you know that there are two $50 gift certificates up for grabs (one from TCM and one from PPC) for leaving comments along the way on the hop.
Don't forget TCM is currently having a huge sale on many stamps Lisa decided to retire.
And, in honor of today's hop, PPC is offering a 5% discount on their tools.
The code is meow5%
(I have to mention that not only are their cutting tools great, I adore the perfect air brush tool and use it often on my cards. It's a must have if you don't have one in your collection yet.)
Happy Hopping!
