Friend

Good morning!

I have a card to share with you today that I made using the adorable The Craft's Meow Jar of Sunshine stamp set along it's coordinating Spellbinder Homespun die set.  I stamped and fussy cut the flower 'belly band' for the jar and added a tag from the Potted Garden stamp set.
(Both sets along with nearly all of TCM's stamps are no longer available for purchase... sorry!)

I added some honeydew striped baker's twine for the card front since it matched the patterned paper so well.

Have a great day!

Merry Christmas!

Good morning!

Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones today!

Today's card was made using The Craft's Meow Little Angels stamp set - one of my favorite TCM stamp sets. (It may be sold out, so the link may not work, sorry!)
I stamped one of these cuties on watercolor paper and used my Distress markers to watercolor her.

I hope you have a very blessed holiday!

Pretty Friend

Good morning!

Today's card is one of my favorites - just look at those soft peach colors with linen and white... so soft and pretty and needed during this 'dead' of winter cold times in Wisconsin!  lol!  I used the sweet Potted Garden stamp set from The Craft's Meow (now retired) for the focal image, coloring with Copics and then fussy cutting it out.

Have a great day!

A Jar full of wishes...

Good morning!

I have a bright 'spring-y' card to share that I made with The Craft's Meow Jar of Sunshine stamp set along with it's coordinating Spellbinder Homespun die set.  I die cut the jar from vellum, stamped the image in stazon and then added the Copic colored flower images.

Have a great day!

Always Here for You

Good morning!

I have a card to share with you today that is so bright and cheerful - perfect for the cold, dreary days of winter around here in Wisconsin!  I used The Craft's Meow Cottage Garden stamp set - one of the many retired stamp sets that are on sale and available on a limited basis.

I used markers to selectively color the images on the stamp before stamping them on the tag.  I stitched the ribbon on the tag to the card front - something I haven't done before.  Not sure if I like it, but tried it anyway.

I wrapped some buttercream stripe baker's twine around the card front and then tied a double bow with a button for the center for my ribbon treatment.  You all know how much I adore my baker's twine!

Have a great day!

His Love Endures

Good morning!

Today I have a bright card I made using The Craft's Meow Choose Hope stamp set - just one of the many stamps that are being retired, so it's on sale and available for a limited time!

I stamped the sentiment and the icons from the set on a patterned paper tag and then added a fabric heart brad which matches better in real life than it seems to here online... lol!

I inked the doily with some dark blue chalk ink for some interested and then added a denim blue solid baker's twine ribbon treatment over the white grosgrain ribbon wrap.  The patterned papers are all from My Mind's Eye.

Have a great day!

TCM: Farewell Blog hop event

Hi there!

Today I'm sad to say that I'm joining several designers in wishing Lisa and The Craft's Meow farewell.  Lisa has decided to close down her beloved online stamping company to pursue other endeavors.  I've enjoyed working with Lisa and all her illustrators from almost the beginning... what a fun ride it's been!

If you've been following along on the hop today, you should have arrived here from Jen's blog.
Be sure to check in at The Craft's Meow company blog for a full list of participants as well as all the details on the clearance sale going on this month.

On my first card I used one of my very favorite TCM stamp set, Potted Garden.  I can't wait to see what in the future for Clare because I am IN LOVE with all her TCM stamps!

My next card uses my favorite sentiment from All You Need is Love.  I also used some yummy platinum shimmer baker's twine on both of my first two cards... it's my go to twine right now!

And, finally my last card uses Potted Garden again, just because....

Next up on the hop is Lin!

Lisa, I wish you lots of love and prayers on your new adventure!  And, illustrators and TCM designers - big hugs all around!  I've been blessed to work with some of the best people in this industry through The Craft's Meow!  It's been a fun ride...

Grateful for You

Good morning!

I have a bright and cheery thank you card to share with you today that I made using The Craft's Meow Potted Garden stamp set, one of my very favorite TCM stamp sets of all time!  I added lots of texture to my card with some die cut borders from Stampin Up along with some embossing on the card mat.

I colored the tulips with Copics and then added it to a pink inked up doily to match.  The cantaloupe stripe and strawberry stripe bakers twines wrapped and tied together worked well for a fun ribbon treatment.

I'm grateful to you for stopping by today!

Have a great day!

Whispering dreams.

Good morning!

Today I have a card to share with you that I recently shared over on The Craft's Meow blog and thought I'd show it off here too in case you didn't catch it over there.  I used TCM's Dream Catcher stamp set and created my dream catcher with Memento black ink on a K&Co patterned paper tag.

I colored just bits of the catcher with Sakura Glitter pens for some sparkle.  I paper pieced the pink feathers and popped them up on the upper left spot on the tag because I needed to hide an ink smudge... lol!  I added the tag to an embossed card front and tied some platinum shimmer baker's twine for some more subtle shimmer.

Have a great day - filled with your dreams coming true!

Christmas Lantern

Good morning!

I have a Christmas card to share with you that I made with The Craft's Meow Christmas Lantern  and Inside Christmas stamp sets.  I love this large image and how easy it is to make a quick and easy card with it!  I felt like coloring, so I pulled out my Copics and went to work.  As you can see, I added a yellow rhinestone brad to the center of the flower.  Just a bit of stitching on the sides of the white focal point and it was finished!

Have a wonderful day!

Happy as a Lark.

Good morning!

Today, I'm thrilled to be joining in on a joint blog hop with several designers from The Craft's Meow and the Perfect Paper Crafting company

If you've been hopping along with us, you should have arrived here from Jenny Gropp's blog.
(The full list of blog hop participants can be found over on TCM's store blog.)

I was sent the Perfect Layers Tool 3 to play with as I already had the Tool 1 and 2 in my stash!  I used the 1" side on Tool 3 and 1/8" side of Tool 1 to create my faux polaroid vanilla mat on my first card.  Then, I used the same 1/8" side to cut the green mat for the frame.

For the card itself, I cut a 1" brown mat for the patterned paper strip on the card front, stitching both edges with a zig zag stitch with my sewing machine.  I used the lovely Happy as a Lark (for the bird) and Lark Additions (for the sentiment) on my card, stamped in coordinating colored inks.

For my second card I used TCM's Lark Additions along with my Tool 3, 3/4" side to cut several strips of patterned papers to weave on my card front.  After I weaved them, I adhered the strips down and then embossed it with a texture embossing folder.  I wish I would have picked a less textured folder because I think all the embossing is too busy with the strips, but what's done is done, right?

It's time for me to send you on to the next stop on the hop: Karen Baker!

Before you go, I need to let you know that there are two $50 gift certificates up for grabs (one from TCM and one from PPC) for leaving comments along the way on the hop.

Don't forget TCM is currently having a huge sale on many stamps Lisa decided to retire.

And, in honor of today's hop, PPC is offering a 5% discount on their tools.
The code is meow5%
(I have to mention that not only are their cutting tools great, I adore the perfect air brush tool and use it often on my cards.  It's a must have if you don't have one in your collection yet.)

Happy Hopping!

TCM Monthly blog hop: Christmas theme

Hi there!

I'm joining my fellow designers in our monthly blog hop today!  If you've been following along on the hop and arrived here from Jennie's blog, you're right on track.  If not, please consider starting at TCM's store blog for all the information about today's event as well as some specials Lisa is having for the next couple of weeks!

We're celebrating Christmas this month, so I thought I'd share a couple of cards today that I made using our newest stamp sets from our last release.  My first card uses the adorable Under the Tree

My next card uses the new Holiday Poinsettia. I went super clean and simple with this one.  I stamped the image along with the sentiment inside the frame on vellum and then embossed it with a grid line impression plate (from PaperTrey Ink).  Then, I adhered it the blue card front with a couple of white brads.  Then, I added some matching ruffle ribbon (paper and ribbon from Stampin Up) and wrapped some platinum shimmer baker's twine to hide the edge of the ribbon.

I hope this is flat enough for the postage to remain the same if I decide to mail it. Those postal rules are getting crazier and crazier, aren't they!?

Next up on the hop is Jinny!

Happy hopping and don't forget to check out TCM's store blog for the fun Fall Sale going on for a couple of weeks!

Quilt Dies: Take 3

Good morning!

I'm back with my third post sharing a couple of cards I made with the fabulous WPlus9 Quilt Cuts dies.  (You can see my first post and my second post here.)

My first card uses the Quilt Cuts 1 die - that flower is so fun!  Once again, I used lots of scrap patterned papers from different My Mind's Eye paper packs.  I used my old Marvy circle and scallop circle paper punches - remember those?  Since MME patterned paper isn't very thick, the punches work perfectly.

The sentiment is from Paper Smooches chit chat stamp set.  I recently picked up a couple of sentiment stamp sets from Paper Smooches and love them.  The fonts Kim uses are so fun!  To finish off the flower I added a small little seaweed stripe baker's twine bow.  Then, I wrapped the same twine around the entire card front several times.  A couple of copic markers blended together in the sentiment were added to help tie in the green twine.

My last card is a smaller one - I don't remember off hand the size but I think it's 3 3/4 x 5.  I used the same Quilt Cuts 1 die and this time cut it out of lots of Die Cuts with a View textured scrap papers and then added them on the card at random.  After they were adhered, I used my sanding block to 'shabby' them up a bit.  The sentiment is from The Craft's Meow Stitched Sentiments.

Have a great weekend!
Jessica
