This is my 3rd post for today, so if you are looking for the Paper Pretties challenge post or the Design Divas Blog hop post, please scroll down a bit to view them.  Thank you!

Hi there!

It's time for another 7 Kids College Fund challenge!  This time, I'm the hostess and have issued the challenge to make a square card - any size, just make sure it's a square.  For all the details on how to participate in this 2 week challenge, please visit the 7Kids Challenge blog.  We always love seeing everyone's projects - you are all so inspiring to us!

Here's a closer look at my 5.5" square card's focal image. I just love this Magnolia Tilda as a Butterfly image - she is so cute!  I choose to use a couple of patterned papers from October Afternoon's Modern Homemaker 8x8 paper pack for the color inspiration for Tilda.

Card Details
Stamps: Tilda as a Butterfly (Magnolia
Ink: Distress; Memento
Card stock: October Afternoon patterned; Neenah cream; SU textured
Other: Copics; Stickles; sewing machine; white gel pen; rhinestones; SU butterfly and flower die(for inside); Quikutz scallop border die; blending foam

After stamping and coloring Tilda, I took the Distress Blending tool and Distress Old Paper ink to distress the Neenah cream card stock a bit.  I also added some shading to the butterfly and flower die cuts.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you get a chance to play along with us in our 'square' challenge!

Apronful of Love: 7 Kids Challenge

This is my second post for today, so if you are looking for this week's Paper Pretties challenge post, please scroll down just a bit!  Thank you!

Hi there!

Every two weeks, the 7Kids College Fund team issues a new challenge and it's time for a new one!  This time, our amazing Janette issued the challenge to make a project that includes a heart on it in honor of Valentine's Day. While contemplating what I would make for this week, I decided to go a little 'tomboyish' with my card and went with a some of my favorite October Afternoon papers from a couple of collections (Road Map and Farm Fresh) and decided to only have the image be clearly 'valentine-ish'.

I love this Tilda with Hearts image - she is so sweet, isn't she?

Card Details
Stamps: Tilda with Hearts (Magnolia)
Ink: Memento; SU
Cardstock: October Afternoon Farm Fresh and Road Map
Other: Copic markers; Stickles; MFT little open scallop die; MFT cork paper; MFT rolled rose die; Quikutz scallop border die; Sewing machine; rhinestones; We R Memory Keepers corner rounder

and the inside view...

7 Kids Challenge: Stencils and CAS card!

Good morning!

It's time for another 7 Kids College Fund challenge!  This week, the challenge is to "Challenge Yourself!"  Choose a technique, stamp, or even a tool that is a challenge for you and design a project with it for our challenge!  I was a bit stumped by this challenge - go figure, right!?  lol!  So, I decided to challenge myself to experiment with something that I'm going to be demonstrating while at CHA very soon: Crafter's Workshop stencils!

I'll be working their booth at CHA for a bit with my good friend Jennie Harper, showing how quick and easy the Crafter's Workshop stencils are to use and add a fun look to our cards and scrapbook pages.  I decided to take my challenge one step further and attempted to make a CAS card.  It's pretty hard for me to make a clean and simple card with minimal layers and bulky embellishments.

So, I sat down with this gorgeous doily stencil and some Tim Holtz Distress inks and created the background for this adorable Magnolia Bunches of Roses image As soon as I started sponging the pink inks on the stencil, I was in love and no longer intimidated by stencils!  Oh my goodness, how soft and elegant the pattern appeared on the white card stock!  Love it - and as huge as doily elements are right now in the paper crafting industry, I believe I will be using it a TON more!

Card Details
Stamps: Tilda with Bunch of Roses
Ink: Distress Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick; Memento
Other: Crafter's Workshop Doily stencil; Rhinestones; Silk Ribbon; WR Memory Keepers corner rounder; Crystal stickles; Copic markers:

Isn't the a perfect background for this adorable Tilda?  She is such a nice size and made such a great focal image for my CAS card.  Here's a photo of the stencil I used in case you are interested...

and the inside view - super simple...

The biggest challenge ended up being to get a decent photo of my card for today - I'm sorry that it's not the best quality.  For some reason all the softness and white layers didn't want to translate very nicely on my camera...

We hope that you will get a chance to play along with us!  Each 7 Kids Wednesday challenge lasts for 2 weeks - so you have plenty of time to participate, right?  *wink!*  There is a fabulous prize offered for the random winner that will be chosen from all the participants!  For all the challenge details as well as the other designer's projects they've prepared for this week's challenge, please visit the 7Kids Wednesday Challenge blog.

And, before you go - have you seen all the fabulous new products 7Kids has added to the online store?  Every week Tab is busy adding new products for sale and pre-order.  The best way to keep informed of all the new items is to subscribe to the 7Kids blog as well as to check the Added this Week category  and the Current Preorder category on the site.

Have fun shopping and stamping!

Pink Birthday Girl

Good evening!

I have a fun birthday card I made a few nights ago as a special request from a customer over on my Etsy shop.  The request was to make it full of cupcakes with lots of pinks - so how about chocolate cupcakes with pink frosting and sprinkles?  How fun is that, huh?

I used a variety of Magnolia rubber stamp images along with a favorite sentiment set of mine from GinaK Designs called Eclectic Summer Sayings.  I love all the phrases and the fonts that Gina used for this stamp set and is my go to sentiment set for cards lately.

Card Details
Stamps: Magnolia; Eclectic Summer Sayings from GinaK Designs
Cardstock: GinaK; SU
Ink: Memento
Other: Spellbinder's dies; Copic markers; pearls; stickles; ribbon; button; oval punch; border punch

The inside is as cute as the outside to me.  I'm happy to report that it was accepted and will be on it's way to Michelle soon.

Thanks for stopping by tonight - I hope you're having a wonderful day!  By the way, did you see the news on GinaK's newest Guest Designer?  If not, check out Gina's blog post here and give a warm welcome to the amazingly talented designer chosen for April's release!!

Have a great rest of your night!

Lucky Girl!

Good Sunday morning!

I have a Magnolia card to share today - isn't she cute sitting on these logs?  I picture her picking the daisy petals and saying, "he loves me, he loves me not" - don't you?

Here a photo showing a bit more dimension - remember, you can always click on my photos to make them appear larger for an even closer look.

and the inside view...

It's going to be a fun day for me today.  I'm meeting a couple of good friends to do some stamping together!  That means I'll have some fun projects to share over the next few days of the projects we'll be making together - I can't wait!

Have a great day!

Birthday Sunflower...

Good morning!

Today's card was made using some more of this gorgeous Stampin Up Brilliant Blue patterned papers. I colored these fun Magnolia stamps to match - once again using my Toner Gray Copic Markers. I used all the colors I have on these images... T-0, T-2, T-3, T-5, T-7, and T-9. I just may have to get T-4 and T-6 because... well, just because! lol!

Because the images were so large, there wasn't much room left to embellish the card, so I kept it pretty simple. I paired two sentiments from Gina's Eclectic Summer Sayings and her Notes to Mom stamp sets to finish off the inside of my card...

Have a great rest of your day!

Your Love Keeps Lifting me....

Good morning!

Isn't this little lady cute with her pet bunny? I bought this image along with most of my other Magnolia images from 7Kid's College Fund online store.

My daughter Ashley is nuts for animals and has been asking for ages to have a pet bunny... however, my husband isn't a big - or even a little fan of pets. So, poor Ash is going to have to wait until she's all grown up and has her own house to have pets! Don't feel too badly for her, she has GOBS of stuffed animals to keep her company until then! lol!

I was using some Stampin Up scrap textured papers on my card and felt like it needed something on the edge of the card, so I pulled out Gina's new Ribbon Stripes stamp set and stamped the diamond strip along the edge in Rose Red ink on Rose Red cardstock.

I used the new tiny Rhinestones that Gina has recently added to her online store to highlight the diamonds-they are the perfect size for this! They were actually clear, but I colored them in with a Dark Grey copic marker, so they ended up being nearly black - I love how Copics can do this! It really extends the use of the neutral accents we have in our stash!

Here's the inside view (the sentiment is from Fiskar's Cloud Nine clear Baby stamp collection)...

Have an awesome rest of your day!

Pink Birthday Wishes

I have a very girly birthday card to share today - just look at all that pink and rhinestones! lol! Once again, all the images (with the exception of the sentiments) are from the Magnolia stamp line that 7Kid's College Fund carries through their online store.

I stamped all the images in black memento ink and colored with Copics. After assembling everything together, I added a variety of colored Stickles to the images and set aside to dry. The card is a 5 1/2" square card to hold all the images on them!

I wanted to share this view of the card so you can see the sparkle and dimension of the card...

Here's the inside view...

The sentiment on the front of the card is from Gina's StampTV Eclectic Summer StampTV kit - you know how much I've been loving that set by how much I've been using it lately! The inside images and sentiments are from a Penny Black clear stamp set that I bought through 7Kid's College Fund as well.

Have a great rest of your day!

Kind Friends

Surprise - I have another couple of Magnolia cards to share with you today! LOL! I recently took a bunch of stamped images with me on vacation along with my Copics and had fun over the past weekend putting the images all onto cards. I purchased all of these images from 7Kid's College Fund online store.

The images on my first card are perfect for a teacher, don't you think? My kids are finished with school already, but if they weren't this card would be for Ashley's 2nd grade teacher - we loved her so much!

My next card is a even simpler...

Once again, I paired the images with Gina's Eclectic Summer Sayings stamp set available through her StampTV Kit.... just because I LOVE this sentiment with both of these images! I also used a Sizzix Texture plate on the card front and a curvy rectangle nestability die for the main image.

Here's the inside view... (the sentiment is from Fiskar's Clear Cloud Nine Baby collection)

Have a great rest of your day!

Wish Big

Good morning!

Aren't these cupcakes fun? They are from the Magnolia Rubber stamp line that I picked up at 7Kid's College Fund. I stamped them in a row on White textured paper and colored them in with Copics. Normally, I would try to embellish them up a little but I left them plain because the pattern papers I chose for the card was busy enough!

See what I mean?

I colored the cupcakes while I was on vacation recently and then went to my scrap pattern paper container looking for some papers that would match. I usually do it the other way around, but it was fun finding papers from a variety of companies, mixing and matching them to my images! After adding some buttons and Purely Pomegranate ribbons, it all came together! Busy... but finished!

Here's the inside view...

Have a great day - it's Friday! That's reason enough for it to be great, isn't it!?

Bathing Beauty

Good morning!

The kids are super excited to have the city pool open soon so they can go swimming this summer! We'll get a summer pass and they'll have a blast hanging out with their friends and I'm thinking it will be a great opportunity for me to be able to catch up on some great summer reading!

My card today was made with some adorable Magnolia Rubber stamps I purchased through 7Kid's College Fund. I love the Magnolia line because I love to color them with my copics and build little scenes for them on my cardfronts!

I used Gina's Eclectic Summer Sayings kit that is only available through her Eclectic Summer StampTV kit right now. The sayings are so fun and versatile! The textured papers are all from Stampin Up.

Here's another view to see how she's popped up from the pier...

Here's the inside of the card (the sentiment is from a Penny Black stamp set) ...

Thanks for stopping by today - Happy Thursday to you all!

Enjoy Birthday Cupcakes

Good morning!

This morning I have a Magnolia card to share with you - and look! She's got a cupcake! Cupcakes seem to be all the rage lately, don't they? I like brownies better myself... lol!

While we were away last week, I took some Magnolia stamps and my Copic markers so I could color some images while hanging out with family. I ended up coloring several images and made some cards with them over the weekend, so don't be surprised if you see several Magnolia cards this week!

Here's a close up of the main image so you see some of the Copic shadings... (pay no attention to how slanted this photo got! yikes!)

I have a large container of scrap 12x12 Stampin Up designer papers, so I pulled out a variety of papers to match this little cupcake chef. There is some sparkle on her from Stickles but it may be hard to see in this wonky photo!

Here's the inside view...

Have a great rest of your day - I hope it's filled with some sweet treats!

Giggling Friend...

Good morning!

I have one more Magnolia stamped card to share today - isn't she so cute sitting on top of that pile of books giggling like she knows a special secret?

Once again, I used Basic Grey's Eva papers along with GinaK's Chocolate Kiss cardstock - I love the rich colors together! Everything was stamped in Black Versafine ink, embossed with detail clear embossing powder and colored with Copics... my go to way to color these adorable Magnolia stamps.

Have a great rest of your day - I hope it's filled with lots of laughter!

With Love ...

Good morning!

Not much chatter today - just a card I made recently with a Magnolia stamp that I bought awhile ago and finally got a chance to play with. I paired her with some Basic Grey Eva papers and buttons as well as some Stampin Up's silk flowers and ribbon...

The sentiment is also from SU - as are the oval punches and the heart stamp & punch for the inside of the card...

Have a great day!
Jessica
