What's Cookin'?

Good morning!

Today's card is made with the adorable Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Cocoa Mouse: From Cocoa's Kitchen stamp set.  I went pretty clean and simple with my card - letting Cocoa do all the work.  

This time I colored the image with Colored pencils and gamsol with blending stumps.  Super easy and soft - love those pencils.

I also used Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps border die cut on my card - love those scallops!

Cards for Friends...

Good morning!

I have two cards to share that I recently made for some friends of mine, using a couple of stamps from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  I used Sheltering Tree for the branches, which I stamped a couple of times on this light linen paper.  After coloring with Copics and a white colored pencil, I ran the entire card front paper through my embossing machine with a texture plate from PaperTrey Ink.  

To finish the card, I added a couple of grass die cut strips and a vellum flag stamped with the sentiment and embellished with a little Wild Orchid flower.  I dabbed some pink stickles in the centers of the tree blossoms for some added sparkle.

My next card uses Springtime Sparrows.  I stamped the images in black Versafine black ink on this spring rain card stock and colored with colored pencils.  To embellish the branches, I added some cherry blossom flowers from Wild Orchid.  To embellish a bit more, I added some more pink stickles - but I wish I wouldn't have... it would have looked better without them.  Oh, well - live and learn, right?

Orange you Glad?

Hi again!

I have another card to share today that I made for this week's SCS's Free for All challenge issued each Friday.  This week, Jeanne challenged us to use the color Orange on our projects.   I used this Sweet 'n Sassy Cocoa's Train digital image and colored him in with colored pencils, odorless mineral spirits, and blending stumps.  After cutting him out with a Spellbinder rectangle die, I used a variety of DCWV Spring Mat stack papers to finish it off.

Easter Babies Blog hop

 

Tonight several of the Paper Pretties designers have gathered together for a special blog hop event to showcase this Easter themed digital stamp set, called Easter Babies. All proceeds of this digital set (minus paypal fees) will go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, so it's a great way to support a cause that is so important as well as to get some adorable digital stamp images.   For my card today, I choose to print out the Easter basket and the set of 4 Easter eggs, coloring them with colored pencils & odorless mineral spirits, highlighting some of the lines with a variety of colored Sakura glitter pens.
