More Christmas cards...

Hi there!

While looking through my project photos recently, I came across these cards that I don't believe I've shared on my blog yet.  I had designed these cards for a class while I still worked at GinaK Designs and thought I'd share them today on my blog.

We've been busy around home this week - the kids playing with new toys and spending the night away with family and friends, taking down the Christmas tree, and doing some after Christmas shopping.  I am lucky enough to only have to work today and tomorrow and then it's another long weekend for me!

I've been spending as much free time as I can working on editing Disney World photos and getting things ready for next year.  I've got some fun announcements to share next week on my blog with some new companies that I am privileged to work with, so I have been working on projects and getting things organized for all the new adventures!

As you can see, I was feeling a bit 'shabby chic' with this card - which is fun considering how silly these farm animals are...

Can you believe Thanksgiving is just one week away already!?  Wow - this month has just flown by, hasn't it!?  I have so much to be thankful for this year and one of the biggest things I'm thankful for this season is my new job.

I have had lots of questions about what I'm doing now that I resigned from working at the GinaK Designs retail store, so I thought I'd address that here - I hope you don't mind.  I have been loving my new position as a child care teacher at a local Christian school/day care.  I am blessed to help care for lots of little angels every afternoon - snuggling, rocking, and playing with them.  It's a position with very little stress and lots of love, team work, and flexibility for which I am very thankful for and was looking for in my new job.  A big bonus? It's just a couple of blocks from my house, so I've been able to walk back and forth to work nearly every day!  I love that!

I have really enjoyed getting back to my first loves - being in a school environment, yet taking care of little ones on a part time basis.  I get lots of snuggles, kisses, and giggles from the 7-13 month old little ones I help care for each day and don't even mind the crying or dirty diapers!  lol!  My degree in education has made this transition much easier than I even expected it to - which is always good, right?

It was time for a change and a new direction, so when God opened this opportunity for me, I knew it was time to make the move.  Change is never easy but always good, when you are at peace and know that it is the right thing to do.

Halloween Gift Favor Box

Hi!

I'm back as promised with a little treat box I made with Theresa Momber's Fanciful Fall stamp set and a SU Sizzix die, I believe it's the Fancy Favor die.  This was a relatively quick and easy gift box - love those Sizzix dies for taking all the guess work out of little gift boxes!

I have a quick card to share this morning on my blog that I made a while ago, but haven't shared here yet.  It's made with Asela Hopkins' Winter Wings stamp set and a fun decorative edged paper pack from Little Yellow Bicycle.  That jumbo scallop edge is a die cut paper from the pack - isn't it fun?

GinaK Blog Hop

Welcome back!

Tonight several the designers from GinaK Designs are getting together to show off some of our favorite background techniques that Gina has added technique videos for on StampTV.  I chose the scoring with the Scor-Pal scor-buddy for my card.  I used the 1/4" marks that are conveniently marked on the grid and ended up making a rather quick background panel for this quick and easy card...

Autumn Leaves Card Kit Samples

Hello There!
