Country Christmas bear

Good morning!

I have a Christmas card to share with you this morning - yes, I know it's quite out of season (thank goodness! lol!) but since many stampers like to get a head start on their Christmas card stash (like I try to each year), I thought I'd share it anyway.  I really like this adorable Stampavie bear image, but unfortunately I can't seem to find it online at the 7Kids College Fund online store where I purchased it last year... sorry about that!

I stamped the image in Versafine black ink and embossed with detail clear embossing powder on Copic's Xpress it blending card stock and then colored with Copic markers.

Sunshine & Laughter

Good morning!

Isn't this image adorable?  She is Flower Girl by Gillian Roberts for Stampavie and I adore here as I'm sure you know, since I just used her last week.  She reminds me of my Ashley who loves outdoors and flowers AND her rain boots! lol!  The card itself is quite simple, so the focus is completely on Ms. Flower Girl.  I want to remind you of this week's 7Kids Challenge Fund two week theme is April Shower or May Flowers... we'd love to see you play along with us!  You have until next Wednesday to enter your card in our challenge.

7 Kids Challenge: Spring Flowers

Happy Wednesday!

The new 7Kids College Fund challenge is up!  This time, the challenge is April Showers or May Flowers - you choose.  I decided to go with Flowers and created my card with Gillian Robert's Flower Girl image by Stampavie.  Isn't she cute?  I stamped her in black Versafine ink on Copic's Xpress it blending card stock (the BEST paper for your Copics, in my opinion) and embossed with detail clear embossing powder before coloring her in with a variety of Copic markers.

7 Kids Challenge: Spring

Hi there!

It's time for another 7Kids College Fund challenge!  The theme for the two week challenge is to make a Spring or Easter card.  I chose to make a Spring card and went bright and cheerful with lots of layers of DCWV glitter papers.  I stamped this Sarah Kay Picnic of Daisies image in black Versafine ink on Copic's Xpress it blending card stock and embossed the ink with detail clear embossing powder.  Then, I colored her in with a variety of Copic markers.  For detailed images such as these ones, I really like to use this particular ink and embossing powder to help my marker tips stay in the lines a bit better.  It also helps the image to really pop with the embossed black lines.

Sweet Fisherman

Hi there!

I pulled out this adorable Penny Johnson Fishing Bear image by Stampavie to create this fun card to share with you today.  I used lots of glittered patterned paper from the DCWV Spring Mat stack and went to town, layering them together to create this sparkly project!  The image is stamped in Black Versafine ink on Copic's Xpress it card stock and embossed with detail clear embossing powder - my go to method to make these detailed images pop.  After coloring the image with a variety of Copics, I adhered it to my card front and embellished the water with some Diamond Stickles - what's a bit more glitter, right?

7 Kids Challenge: Poka Dots!

Hi there!

The next two week 7Kids College Fund challenge is up!  This time, the theme is polka dots!  Fun, right?  As you can see on my card I have 3 different items with polka dots - the Cuttlebug Seeing Spots embossing folder; some Stampin Up ribbon, and this adorable Sarah Kay image who is wearing a polka dot art smock.  The image is called Margeaux is Painting and is so fun to color.  I ended up leaving her painting color free because she is JUST starting to work on it...

Being with You...

Hi there!

My card today is one that I made a few weeks ago for the 7Kids College Fund Mardi Gras Challenge and just realized that I forgot to share it!  The challenge was to create a card with the colors yellow/gold, green, and purple - thus the bright and bold colors that you see on my card.  Trust me, those are not my usual color choice... lol!

I stamped the Stampavie Owls on Copic Xpress it blending card stock and colored with these Copic markers...

Another Soccer Season ends ...

Hi there!

Both of my kids have had a blast playing soccer this year at their school, so when I saw this adorable Stampavie image over at 7Kids college fund I knew I had to have it.  I am not sure if I shared this card yet on my blog or not, so I thought I'd share it tonight, just in case!

The layout is pretty basic, but has a little twist with having the focal image 'hanging' off the card front a bit.  I trimmed the card front to be 4" wide, to compensate for this so it will still fit in a standard A2 envelope.
