I'm popping in quickly tonight to share a card I created awhile ago, but don't think I've shared here on my blog yet... if I have, I apologize!  Being a teacher, I love this Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps digital stamp called Rhubarb Back to School.  I paired it with some images from PaperTrey Ink and went with a red color scheme.  It's busy, but fun!

Ink: Versafine; SU
Card stock: PTI white; SU solid; MME patterned
Other: Copics; PTI dies; Spellbinder label die; My Favorite things scallop die; SU brads

I'll be back tomorrow morning with a couple more cards for Sweet 'n Sassy Stamp's February release blog hop event!  See you then!

Rhubarb's Snowy day: Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

In honor of the tiny bit of snow that we are getting this morning, I thought I'd share a very 'green' wintery card to share with you today!  I decided to make it a birthday card, since they are some of the most needed cards in my stash.  The main image and birthday sentiment are from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  The bear is the digital Rhubarb's Snowy Days image paired with a sentiment from Bethany's Birthday Wish.  It fit perfectly in this PaperTrey Ink ticket die & Just the Ticket stamp set.  The tiny tag and 'make a wish' sentiment is also from PaperTrey ink.

I printed the image on PaperTrey Ink's white card stock and colored with Copic markers before die cutting the image with a Spellbinder Circle die.

Card Details
Stamps: digital - Rhubarb's Snowy Day (SNSS); Bethany's Birthday Wish (SNSS); PaperTrey Ink sentiments, just the ticket, and tiny tag stamps
Ink: Stampin Up and Memento
Card stock: PaperTrey ink white; SU solid; DCWV winter & holiday mat stack patterned & glitter (retired)
Other: Spellbinder circle and lacey circle dies; Copic markers; Signo white gel pen; SU ribbon & brads (texture folder & top note die for inside); PaperTrey ticket & tiny tags dies; My Favorite things open bracket border

and here's a look at the inside view -

Have a wonderful New Year!

Tea & friends

Good morning!

Ink: Versafine
Card stock: DCWV pinking rectangle die cut; October Afternoon dp; PTI white; SU

Have a great day - I hope you are healthy and happy!  I'm so thankful to be feeling better after being sick for most of the month of November and the beginning of December.  It's surprising how long bronchitis and sinus infections can hang on sometimes, isn't it?

I'm looking forward to a dinner date with some of my friends tonight!  Everything really does taste better with you enjoy the company you're with, don't you agree!?

SSNS Rhubarb's Autumn Day

Hi there!

Have you seen Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps' new Rhubarb the Teddy Bear digital line?  Korin has introduced this adorable bear and as soon as I saw her (him?) with all his seasonal accessories I HAD to get some of them printed off to use them on some card projects.  My daughter Ashley has approximately 569 Build a Bears (ok - that is an exaggeration, but it seems like she has that many... lol!), so I'm tickled to have these adorable bear images to use for cards and scrapbook pages for not only her but also for all the little kids in my life.

On my card today, I used Rhubarb's Autumn Day - isn't she adorable with those pumpkins and leaves flying around her?  I always print my digital images out on PaperTrey's Select White card stock because I've found that my printer ink doesn't smear when I color with Copics.

Card Details
Stamps: Rhubarb the Bear Autumn Day (SSNS digital image)
Ink: SU
Card stock: PTI white; SU colored; DCWV patterned
Other: Copic markers; SU tafetta ribbon; Twine; lace; rhinestones; PTI textile plate; dauber; sewing machine; white gel pen

here's the inside view with a sentiment from PaperTrey...

Have a wonderful day!

Card stock: SU; Copic Xpress it blending card stock: Echo Park Summer Time dp

Gone Fishin'

Hi there!

I had some time today to create another card for Sweet 'n Sassy's Customer blog hop event going on this weekend.  Since theme is "For the Guys" I decided to create a CAS (clean and simple) card using minimal embellishments and having the focus be solely on this adorable digital image called Let's Go Fishing Puppy.  He is so adorable - I couldn't resist creating a little 'scene' for him with some inks, daubers, and a sharpie extra fine point pen...

Card Details
Stamps: Let's Go Fishing (Sweet 'n Sassy digital image)
Ink: Distress Broken China; Shabby Shutters
Card stock: SU; PTI white; DCWV
Other: Copics; Sewing machine; SU texture folder; baker's twine; copper nailheads; daubers; sharpie fine point pen

Remember to add your card to the blog by Sunday night so you can receive a free digital image and be entered to win a gift certificate for the Sweet 'n Sassy shop!

Have a wonderful night!  Check back with me in a few hours for the reveal of my two new The Craft's Meow card kits that I designed using a couple of Nina Brackett's stamp sets - I can't wait to show them to you!

Baseball Birthday Cap!

My card this afternoon is for Sweet 'n Sassy's Customer Blog hop this weekend.  The theme this month is 'For the Guys' - check out this link for all the details on how to enter YOUR card into the link list at the end of my post.  Korin has a fun free digital image for all who participate in the hop with us!

I created my card using the Sweet 'n Sassy Cocoa's Baseball Hat digital image for my card and a birthday sentiment from Bethany's Birthday Wish clear stamp set.  I also used this week's Sweet Shop sketch for my card. I flipped the sketch to its side and changed the flower embellishment to be a 'tag' so it's a loose interpretation of the sketch, but it definitely determined my card's layout.

Here's a closer view of this adorable Cocoa image -

Card Details
Stamps: Cocoa's Baseball Hat (digital); Bethany's Birthday Wishes (Sweet 'n Sassy)
Ink: Memento
Card stock: SU; PTI white
Other: Sewing machine; SU texture folder; EK Success circle punches; Copics; Baker's Twine & Button

Have rest of your day and hope you are able to get some stamping in this weekend!

Birthday Gift card: Cocoa Style!

Hi there!

This morning, I'm sharing a card that doubles as a gift card holder that I designed for Sweet 'n Sassy's Birthday blog hop event!  I used Cookies Gift for my focal image and after coloring her, I cut her out to embellish the gift card pocket (an older die from Sizzix).  As you can see from the next photo - it fits a gift card perfectly.  I attached the card to a shipping tag (with temporary adhesive to make it easy to remove) and tied a silk ribbon bow to embellish it.

Here's a closer view of sweet Cookie - as you can see I used just a few copics to color her and them embellished her gift with some stickles and a button.

Card Details
Stamps: Cookie's Gift (Digital image by Sweet 'n Sassy); Sentiments from Bethany's Birthday Wish
Card stock: SU; PTI white; GinaK Designs
Other: Sizzix envelope die; Cuttlebug embossing folders; EK Success border punch; sewing machine; copics; stickles; button; Spellbinder petite oval die; corner rounder; silk ribbon; twine

Here's the inside view - the same image, I just flipped Cookie to face the other direction.  The sentiments on the outside and inside are all from Bethany's Birthday Wish clear stamp set.

Isn't Cookie adorable peeking out behind that gift?

Now, for the fun part - check out these great cards in the links below and be sure to create your card to join us in the hop!  All the details on the hop as well as the grab the link list code are found right HERE, so check that out too.

Thanks for checking in on me today!

Easter Babies Blog hop

Tonight several of the Paper Pretties designers have gathered together for a special blog hop event to showcase this Easter themed digital stamp set, called Easter Babies. If you've been hopping with us and arrived from Frances Byrne's blog, you are right on track.  If not please consider checking out Frances' link as she is the first designer on the list.

All proceeds of this digital set (minus paypal fees) will go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, so it's a great way to support a cause that is so important as well as to get some adorable digital stamp images.   For my card today, I choose to print out the Easter basket and the set of 4 Easter eggs, coloring them with colored pencils & odorless mineral spirits, highlighting some of the lines with a variety of colored Sakura glitter pens.
