Joyous Noel

Good morning!

Have you been busy with your Christmas cards, this year?  I haven't looked through my stash yet - I better get a count soon to find out how many more I need to make!

I made this card today, thinking of a more 'masculine' feel by using the lovely Sweet'n Sassy Landscape Silhouettes stamp set.  I paired it with the Christmas Sentiments stamp set and a couple of Snowflake dies cut from vellum.

Have a great day - and good luck on your holiday card stash!

Meet under the 'moostleoe'

Good morning!

I have a card to share with you today that uses November's Reverse Confetti Sketch for You to Try:

I used the adorable new Marley Moose stamp set: Pure cuteness!  As you can see, I flipped the sketch and added a sentiment label as well as the sprig of mistletoe over Marley's head.  I stamped Marley in red ink and colored with Copics and the mistletoe in green ink and colored with Copics - just for something a bit different.  I die cut a heart out of some glittery fun foam for a pop of sparkly love!

Here are the RC products I used on my card:

Have a great day - there's still time to play along with this month's SKFTT!

My card today uses the new Jesus is Born for the sentiment and the adorable sheep from Prim Blessings.  The background is the Music Background

Although the thought of Christmas gives me the willies, it's great to start adding cards to my Christmas card stash! lol!  I adore summer and don't even want to think about the cold winter season yet... so part of me apologizes for the Christmas card here in the middle of July! lol!

Have a great day!

SNSS Christmas in July

Good morning!

This morning I'm joining with the designers from Sweet'n Sassy Stamps in celebrating their Christmas in July new release!  Korin has designed three new Christmas stamp sets celebrating the birth of our Savior.  I have one card to share with each new stamp set this morning.  For all the specifics of each new stamp set, please check out the SNSS blog.

First up is the lovely Christmas Morn stamp set.
I adore the silhouette tree image in this set quite a bit.  After I stamped the tree and the sentiment, I used an impression plate for more interest - love that look, especially when it's enhanced a bit with soft ink.

Card Details
Stamps: Christmas Morn (SNSS)
Ink: Stampin Up; Versafine; Colorbox Chalk
Card stock: PaperTrey Ink linen; Linen white
Other: Sewing machine; PTI impression plate; Ribbons from SU; Wild Orchid flowers; Corner rounder; Doily

My second card uses the tree from Christmas Morn as well as the Christmas Innies stamp set.  This time I went quite CAS, choosing only to embellish the tag with some white ink and fun ribbon treatment.  I love this stamp set because of all beautiful sentiments included - perfect for the inside of your card or the outside!

Card Details
Stamps: Christmas Morn; Christmas Innies (SNSS)
Ink: SU; PTI white; SU; Colorbox chalk
Card stock: PaperTrey Ink solid & patterned
Other: Lawn Fawn tag; Seam binding ribbon; corner rounder; SU ribbon; doily

And, last but not least the new Jesus is Born stamp set.  This set is chock full of lovely sentiments that all celebrate the birth of Jesus - such a great set for those of us who make Christmas cards.  I choose to pair one of the sentiments with the sweet little lamb from Prim Blessings stamp set - remembering the shepherds who first received the glorious news of the birth of the Messiah.

Card stock: PTI patterned; Linen white

Fuzzy Christmas!

Good morning!

I know Christmas is over but since several of my favorite Cocoa the Mouse stamp sets are being retired over at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, I thought I'd better pull them out and get to playing with them while I still can link the stamps to the online store!  This one is from the adorable Santa's Helper stamp set.

Isn't he cute, peeking out from the hat?!

Card Details
Stamps: Santa's Helper (SNSS)
Ink: Versafine
Cardstock: PTI; October Afternoon
Other: Sewing machine; PTI pinking border; Copics; Crochet thread; buttons

I hope you have a chance to take advantage of the retirement sale!

Have a great day!

Swanky Snowdudes!

Hi there!

I'm popping in to share a card I made using some adorable Paper Smooches snowman images!  While I'm not a bit fan of snow or winter, I've been wanting to add this super quirky Swanky Snowdudes to my collection for quite a while.  And, when I saw the current Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge is 'anything goes' - I thought I'd get these dudes out to play!

As you can see from my card I used the coordinating dies to cut out the snowdudes from white linen card stock and did a bit of coloring with some Copic markers.  The 'greetings' sentiment is from the same stamp set and the Christmas word die set.  I die cut it twice - once in kraft and once in red and off-set layered it for a bit of dimension.

Have a great day - thanks for stopping by!

Merry Christmas!

Good morning!

Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones today!

Today's card was made using The Craft's Meow Little Angels stamp set - one of my favorite TCM stamp sets. (It may be sold out, so the link may not work, sorry!)
I stamped one of these cuties on watercolor paper and used my Distress markers to watercolor her.

I hope you have a very blessed holiday!

Christmas Lantern

Good morning!

I have a Christmas card to share with you that I made with The Craft's Meow Christmas Lantern  and Inside Christmas stamp sets.  I love this large image and how easy it is to make a quick and easy card with it!  I felt like coloring, so I pulled out my Copics and went to work.  As you can see, I added a yellow rhinestone brad to the center of the flower.  Just a bit of stitching on the sides of the white focal point and it was finished!

Have a wonderful day!

TCM Monthly blog hop: Christmas theme

Hi there!

I'm joining my fellow designers in our monthly blog hop today!  If you've been following along on the hop and arrived here from Jennie's blog, you're right on track.  If not, please consider starting at TCM's store blog for all the information about today's event as well as some specials Lisa is having for the next couple of weeks!

We're celebrating Christmas this month, so I thought I'd share a couple of cards today that I made using our newest stamp sets from our last release.  My first card uses the adorable Under the Tree

My next card uses the new Holiday Poinsettia. I went super clean and simple with this one.  I stamped the image along with the sentiment inside the frame on vellum and then embossed it with a grid line impression plate (from PaperTrey Ink).  Then, I adhered it the blue card front with a couple of white brads.  Then, I added some matching ruffle ribbon (paper and ribbon from Stampin Up) and wrapped some platinum shimmer baker's twine to hide the edge of the ribbon.

I hope this is flat enough for the postage to remain the same if I decide to mail it. Those postal rules are getting crazier and crazier, aren't they!?

Next up on the hop is Jinny!

Happy hopping and don't forget to check out TCM's store blog for the fun Fall Sale going on for a couple of weeks!

TCM: October Release blog hop

Hi there!

Today's the day - all the new stamps we've been featuring on The Craft's Meow designer's blogs this week are now available for purchase right HERE!

To celebrate, we're having a blog hop showing off more with the new stamp sets.  If you've been following along on the hop, you should have arrived here from my good friend Jennie's blog.  If not, consider starting at the beginning so you don't miss out on any of the samples the team has prepared for you.  Leave comments along the way for a fun prize (more information on that on TCM's blog).

For my first card, I used a couple of new stamp sets: Under the Tree (presents and little girl) and  Christmas Lantern (sentiment).

Card Details
Stamps: Under the Tree; Christmas Lantern (TCM)
Ink: Stampin Up; Memento; Versafine
Card stock: Lawn Fawn patterned; Vellum; SU
Other: Copics; My Mind's Eye candy dots; PTI grid lines impression plate and heart die; Darcy woodgrain embossing folder; SU ruffled ribbon; Corner rounder; Seaweed baker's twine

My next card is pretty simple.  I love this winter patterned paper pack from Carta Bella's last year's Christmas line.  I can't find it online to link it... but all their papers are fabulous!  I used the new Holiday Poinsettia (for the peace.love.joy sentiment) and the Inside Christmas to embellish one of the journaling cards included in the paper pack.  The 25 card is also from the paper pack.  If I wanted to mail this card, I'd probably remove the two roses because although they are pretty sweet, I know they aren't very 'mail-worthy.'

Next up on today's hop is the fabulous Jinny!

Happy Hopping!

TCM: Holiday Poinsettia and Inside Christmas

Hi there!

Welcome back to another day of  previews for the new October stamp sets that will be available on October 21 through The Craft's Meow.  To see all the designers' samples with today's featured stamp sets, please check out TCM's store blog.

Today, we are showing the last two of our new stamp sets, this first one being Nina Brackett's new Holiday Poinsettia.  This lovely stamp set is in true 'Nina-style' with a lovely vintage feel to it.  I decided to use the large poinsettia image as a background stamp and repeatedly stamped it on some craft card stock to one side.

I shaded the edges of the card stock with some brown chalk ink and then added the patterned paper and seam binding ribbon treatment.  Then I stamped the sentiment as well as the postage stamp image on this little Simple Stories patterned paper element included in their paper pack - love those!

And, finally - the new free with $60 purchase (also available for purchase if desired), Inside Christmas illustrated by Karen Baker.  Karen has such lovely sentiments in this set that are perfect for the insides of your Christmas cards, but they can also be used for the fronts too!  That's what I decided to do with this sentiment - I stamped it on another paper die cut from my Simple Stories.

Yet another CAS Christmas card for me... have you noticed a theme with this release?!  Love great stamp sets that make making cards a snap!

Have a great rest of your day!

TCM: Christmas Lantern

Hi there!

Welcome back to another day of  previews for the new October stamp sets that will be available on October 21 through The Craft's Meow.  To see all the designers' samples with today's featured stamp set, please check out TCM's store blog.

Today's featured stamp set is Clare Buswell's Christmas Lantern - and you are going to LOVE this one!  First of all, Clare's lantern is huge!  And the sentiments are perfect too!  I love the details Clare adds to her sets.

Once again, I decided to go CAS with my card for today because that lantern needed to take center stage.  I stamped the image and sentiment on stone card stock and used my favorite grid line impression plate for texture.  Then, I sponged some light grey ink around the entire card front and added a white organdy ribbon to balance to top of the card a bit.

My only pop of color was the red poinsettia flower that I colored and popped up with an older Prima leaf from my collection.  It's a bit hard to see, but I stamped the lantern glow with a very soft taupe/yellow ink for a subtle glow of light.

Great stamp sets make CAS cards a breeze, don't they?

Have a great rest of your day!

TCM: Christmas Blessings

Hi there!

Welcome back to another day of  previews for the new October stamp sets that will be available on October 21 through The Craft's Meow.  To see all the designers' samples with today's featured stamp set, please check out TCM's store blog.

Today, we are showcasing Karen Baker's new Christmas Blessings stamp set.  This is a lovely silhouette stamp set with such pretty sentiments for all your Christmas cards.  I used two images and a sentiment from the stamp set on my CAS card:

Christmas card need to be as CAS as possible in my book to help with mass production as well as making it easy to mail without extra postage needed.  I choose only using some sewing and seam binding ribbon for my embellishments because the stamp set is so lovely by itself!

Isn't this sentiment lovely?  It's one of my favorites from this release...

Have a great rest of your day!

TCM: Under the Tree

Hi there!

Today begins the previews for the new October stamp sets that will be available on October 21 through The Craft's Meow.  To see all the designers' samples with today's featured stamp set, please check out TCM's store blog.

Today, we are showing Mindy Baxter's new Under the Tree stamp set.  Mindy filled this set with her signature 'cutesy' style that I just love!  For my card, I used the pile of presents along with the coordinating stamp set.

I used a die cut tree image (embossed and sponged for added shading) and some glitter fun foam with a ric rac die (both dies from PaperTrey Ink).  The twines are true Christmas colors: peapod green stripe and maraschino red stripe and the papers and tag die are from Lawn Fawn.

While I'm in no rush for Christmas to come, I'm happy to add some cards to my Christmas card stash!

Have an enjoyable rest of your day!
Jessica
