Movie Magic: The Incredible Mr. Limpet

Good evening!

It's time for another GinaK Design Team challenge hop!  Gina challenged the team to think of a movie that we have enjoyed and make a project based on the inspiration from it being sure to use a stamp set from the April Release.

Ever since I first laid eyes on the Quite a Catch stamp set, I have thought of this fun movie - do you remember watching it when you were young?

Here's the description of the movie from Amazon:

Ever wonder what would happen if the imaginary worlds of Bedknobs and Broomsticks and SpongeBob SquarePants were to collide? If so, chances are good you've yet to discover The Incredible Mr. Limpet. Starring the irrepressible Don Knotts, this 1964 family feature combines live (land) action and animated (undersea) sequences with delightful results. During World War II, Knotts is mild-mannered, spectacle-sporting bookkeeper Henry Limpet. More than anything--he's a fish fan and a patriot. When the navy rejects him due to poor eyesight, he falls into a funk from which not even his beloved aquarium or loving--if bossy--wife can rescue him. So he makes a wish... to become a fish. Next thing he knows--he is! With a little help from a hermit crab named Crusty and the lovely Ladyfish, it's as a talking, bespectacled fish that Limpet proves himself the war hero he always knew he was meant to be. --Kathleen C. Fennessy

While I was thinking of this adorable movie, I was reminded of this photo I took of Brad and Ashley a couple of years ago while we were on a boat ride on the Mississippi River.  Ashley brought her stuffed Elmo along to keep her company as she was a bit nervous being on a boat for the first time.

While snapping this photo of the two of them, Brad took the binoculars and positioned them over Elmo's eyes.  I didn't even notice it until I uploaded the photos to the computer! lol!

I recently found a chipboard album by Bo Bunny that has chipboard pages for the inside of the book.  It's a 9x9 size - just right for one regular photo and lots of room for embellishments!  I aged the chipboard page with some Distress inks and then used a variety of October Afternoon Fly a Kite papers to decorate the page.  Check out all the stitching - I'm addicted!! lol!

The little sea critters were paper pieced on a variety of October Afternoon papers and colored with Copic markers.  They make such cute embellishments, don't they?

Do you see the bow above the journal tag?  That ribbon is GinaK's white twill ribbon that I used a couple of Copic markers to draw stripes to match the papers a bit better.  My lines are not straight at all, but you can hardly tell once it's all tied up!
