Timeless Treasures Blog Hop

Good evening!

I am so happy to join in on Theresa's Timeless Treasures blog hop tonight! There are several of us showing projects tonight, so be sure to check out all the links at the end of my SUPER long blog post to see what everyone else has been making with Theresa's gorgeous vintage inspired stamp set.

My first project with this stamp set was this accordian fold scrapbook. I sat down with a premade accordian album from DieCuts with a View, a DejaViews 12x12 paper pack and Theresa's set.

I began my project by cutting the papers to 6x6 and started layering and trimming to decorate the album. I started to get a feel for the book with these vintage papers and inspiration began to strike! Next, I stamped all the images onto GinaK's Pure Luxury Ivory cardstock and pulling the colors from the patterned papers, I colored everything with Copics.

The images were trimmed and set aside to decorate the pages and the sentiments were cut with a variety of Nestability dies. Before removing the dies, I sponged SU's Blush Blossom ink around the cardstock to highlight and add to the vintage look. That's my favorite color to use when I'm trying to achieve a soft, old-world type feel.

Then, I added the stamped elements to my album...

I used Sakura's Glitter pen to highlight a couple of lines on each stamped image. On one side of my album, I used Crystal lacquer on the stamped images. But, I found that the lacquer was a little thicker than I wanted, so on the opposite side of the album pages, I used a versamarker and detail clear embossing powder to get the subtle shine I was looking for.

Here's the album cover...

page 1 (with Crystal lacquer on the images)

page 2 - remember you can click on all of my photos to view them larger for an even closer view...

page 3 - oh how I LOVE that cameo, Theresa!!

page 4...
The last page of the front of the album...

Now, I never like to leave the back side of my mini books plain, so I always decorate them too. That way, you have 2 views - right!?

So, this is page 1 of the back of the album... (using Versamarker & embossing powder to embellish)

page 2 ...

page 3 ...
and finally page 4...

Whew - you made it! I should have warned you about all the photos in this post! lol!! I haven't made a mini scrapbook in so long and was thrilled with getting back into scrapbooking again! Now, to decide on what photos to put in it...

Jessica this is totally amazing (well not really considering your fabulous talent!) BUT one of my good friends just lost her mom over the weekend and I think I now have an idea for something I can make for her to help ease the pain. THanks for sharing a fabulous project and for being such an inspiration always.
