Day 2: Sneak Peeks

Good morning!
Weren't yesterday's cards from everyone fabulous?! I hope you had a chance to check out everyone's beautiful projects.

Today, I get to share 2 more cards made with 2 more new stamp sets. The first one is Asela Hopkin's Christmas Blessings.

Aren't these poinsettia's beautiful!? I used my favorite cuttlebug folder, Leafy Branch and embossed the Sage Shadow card front. Then, using Frayed Burlap Distress Ink & the Inkssentials Blending tool, I shaded the entire paper, making sure to highlight the embossing.

The flowers are stamped in gold Encore ink and embossed with Detail Clear Embossing powder on Watercolor paper. Then, I watercolored them flowers with Ruby Red SU reinkers. The centers of the flowers were dotted with gold stickles.

There are several beautiful images in Asela's set along with words and phrases that can fit any holiday saying need. Asela's stamps are always fun to color and this one is no exception. I have a few more cards that I've made that I'll share during the release party this Thursday night.

Gina, Asela, Joanne, Emily, Melanie, Cathy, and Lee also have projects to share with us made with this set. Be sure to visit their blogs to see the beautiful eyecandy!

Next up, is the Free with Three stamp set by Gina called Winter Foliage.

You're going to love this beautiful little stamp set. While I had the stamp set out last week, I had so much fun playing with different techniques with the images and words in it. I was playing with bleach, alcohol reinkers, markers, paper punches... but you'll have to wait until Thursday night to see the results of all those fun supplies! Yep, I'm a tease...

This was the last card I made when I was playing around in my stamp room that day. I got out my Stampin Up Real Red and Garden Green marker and colored directly on the mistletoe stamp and stamped randomnly all over this piece of whisper white scrap paper. I loved the details this gave the stamp, so quickly threw the card together as an after thought. Funny thing is, I think it's my favorite one that I made with this set! Isn't that funny how that works sometimes?

Few details... I used the new Holiday Embossing Rub-on paste to edge the cardfront as well as all the pieces of paper. I used the Threading Waters Fiskars border punch that Gina carries in her online store. To add a little more to it, I pierced the point of each scallop with my paper piercer. I love the little touch this adds to the scallop pattern.

Notice that ribbon - yep, is part of the Holiday Luxury ribbon that will be available this Thursday night. You'll get 12 different ribbons - 1 yard of each kind - for an awesome price. I cut all that ribbon for you and Shelly and Gina packaged it! We spent the entire time 'petting' the ribbons - they are so soft! Gina will also be carrying Silver and Gold cording!! Yahoo! It's been so hard to find since Stampin Up retired it - but it's back!

Gina, Emily, Melanie, Carolyn, Lee, Kurtis, and Asela have been busy creating with this versatile stamp set too. Check out their blogs for some more eyecandy this morning. You won't be sorry!

Thanks for stopping by. Be sure to check back in tomorrow for Melanie's 2 stamp sets sneak peeks!
