Black & White with Color All Over!
Happy Saturday!
Today starts the first monthly scrapbook challenge we'll be adding to our StampTV challenge schedule! On the first Saturday of the month, one of the GinaK Design Team members will share a scrapbook page and invite you to participate. The challenge may be a sketch, a theme, an embellishment, etc.
Since we are adding a new scrapbook challenge on the first Saturday of the month, each current challenge lasts the whole month - giving plenty of time to participate when it's convenient for you! This challenge is different from our other challenges, as we won't be choosing a 'winner' from the entries. Instead, this is a fun opportunity to help us all get those special memories and events recorded in our scrapbooks for our family and friends!
Now that all the details have been shared, let's look again at photo of my scrapbook challenge for June:
Black & White with color all over
Challenge: make a scrapbook page using a black and white photo and use colors on everything else!
Tag: stvscrap1
My scrapbook page was made using a black and white photo I took of my kids a few years back while we were at a Fourth of July parade in my husband's hometown. Ashley was so cute in her little cheerleader outfit - boy, they sure have grown since this was taken!
I like to get some of my photos developed in black and white - especially the ones that are great portrait photos of my kids. That way I can use them anyway I choose and don't feel like I have to use the bright colors in the photo as my guide.
I stamped Tami's Star images on a variety of GinaK solid cardstocks in coordinated Vivid inks and then used my Stampin Up large Star punch to punch them out. Such quick and easy embellishments! LOVE coordinating paper punches and stamps - that's actually how I started in this stamping hobby... by, using the stamped and punched images to decorate my scrapbook pages.
Project Details
Stamps: Stars
Cardstock: GinaK; October Afternoon
Ink: Vivid; Memento
Other: Chipboard album page by BoBunny; sewing machine; SU star punch; buttons; ribbons, sticker by October Afternoon; dauber; twine
Good luck - I can't wait to see the StampTV gallery fill with your beautiful scrapbook pages! I
Jessica

Enjoy the Sunshine STV kit and Stars
Welcome Back to day 3 of the May Previews!
Tonight I'm starting with my card that I made with GinaK's new Enjoy the Sunshine StampTV kit! If you haven't already, hop over to GinaK's blog to see her video introducing the kit and the project she made with it! I'm in LOVE with the images, sentiments, ribbons, and papers that are in this huge kit!
Since I'm married to an avid biker, I had to make this card in honor of my guy (although I must say his bike is a bit fancier than this one! This actually looks a bit like a bike I had growing up, complete with a banana seat - remember those!? lol)
Card Details
Stamps: Enjoy the Sunshine
Ink: Distress; Memento
Cardstock: GinaK; October Afternoon Recess
Other: sewing machine, ribbon, SU clip and brad; sponge daubers, corner rounder; Sakura Glitter pens (used to color the bike)
****** Stars by Tami Mayberry *****
Next up is a fabulous new stamp set by Tami called Stars! The star images in the set were designed to coordinate with Fiskars Star punch, that Gina will be adding to her online store soon. I was happy to find out that my Stampin Up star punch also works great with it too!
I went clean and simple with this card. I sewed a piece of vellum onto the Kraft card base - doesn't it look nice?
