SNSS: Wish you were here

Good morning!

The designers from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps are finishing up our July release feature blog hops today with an adorable new stamp set with coordinating dies called Wish You Were Here.  It's all about the beach and summer - two of my very favorite things right now!

My first card is inspired by my recent trip to Key Largo, Florida with my husband a few months ago.  I fell in love the with ocean, palm trees, and the gorgeous aqua colors of the water there.  I also used the wave border die cut from vellum for my little scene.  Caribbean twine was a great ribbon treatment for this bright card.

My next card has a similar scene but more about the sand with various shades of brown on this card.  One of my favorite things to do on the beach is to sit under an umbrellas, stick my feet in the sand, and sip on a cool beverage with a magazine or iPad close by... ahh... I wish I was there right now!  I used some solid Cappuccino twine on this card to tie in the sand/beach feel.

Here's the details about today's stamp and die set from Korin:

  • Stamp set includes 10 images & 7 sentiments
  • Stamp set measures approximately 4" x 6"
  • The umbrella image measures approximately 2 3/8" x 2"
  • Die Set includes 10 dies
  • Designed by Korin Sutherland
  • Stamp set priced at $15
  • Die set priced at $17.50
  • Get the bundle for just $30

Lovely beach cards. I like the vellum waves and doily on the first and the polka dot background on the second.

Oh Jessica, these cards are so pretty, I remember one of them from the release party. I love the sand and subtle waves you created in your first card and how the pretty colors stand out against the neutral background of your second card. Methinks you are the queen of sand-creating...

Wish I was there. Both cards look like a super fun place to be. Love the waves out of velum, looks like it is embossed on the paper.

I like the vellum waves and the sand on your first card. You really like to use doilies don't you, interesting combo with the beach scene. I like the colors of your second card. The sand toned paper base card and the cheery colored beach stuff, they pop nicely!

Oh Jessica I love the aqua coloured card - it almost made the day here feel a little warmer!
Love them both, although I am more accustomed to black sand than brown or gold :-)
