SNSS: Christmas in July blog hop

Good morning!

It's a Christmas in July blog hop, Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps' style today!  Korin has released a couple of new dies to match some stamp sets already available and coordinated a fun hop to show them off!  All the details on the dies and stamps they coordinate with are at the bottom of my post.

My first card uses the beautiful Poinsettia stamp set with the new Poinsettia die.  I stamped the image on the die cut and colored only the leaves.  Then, I stamped the image again on some red patterned paper from a Basic Grey paper pack, did a bit of shading with some red copics and then trimmed the flower and popped it up on the leaves.

I colored the white doily with a memento dew drop and used an impression plate to emboss the vellum overlay.  I thought the new Doily border die was perfect to edge the red paper on the bottom of the card.  I love our new doily dies!

My next card has a 'nordic Christmas' feel to me with the blues and woodgrain.  I used the beautiful Vintage Ornaments along with the coordinating Ornaments dies.  I stamped all the ornaments in the same color of Brilliance ink - it just looks differently on the woodgrain patterned paper (from Basic Grey) than on the white die cut.  I embellished the ornaments with clear rhinestones and used some platinum shimmer baker's twine to 'hang' the ornaments.

Now, for all the details on today's featured stamp set and new dies from Korin:

  • Die set includes 4 dies
  • Designed by Korin Sutherland
  • Priced at $16.75
  • Coordinates with Vintage Ornaments stamp set

  • Die set includes 1 die
  • Designed by Korin Sutherland
  • Priced at $10.50
  • Coordinates with Poinsettia stamp set

Now that you've seen the new dies, check out what our DT did with them by clicking the thumbnails below.

Be sure to leave a comment of each of the blogs along your journey because we're giving away each new die set! (2 winners-1 die each)

The deadline to comment for a chance to win is midnight EST Wednesday, July 31st.  The list of winners will be announced on our website homepage by Tuesday, August 6th.

Thanks so much for joining us!  Enjoy the hop!

This is neat how you used the dies and stamps. I really love the 'wood' bg with the ornaments layered on top like that. Also your popped up poinsettia with the lime doiley - so creative and pretty!
