TCM: Chalkboard Birthday

Hi there!

Today's the big day!  All the new stamps from The Craft's Meow that we have been featuring for the past several days on our blogs, are now available for purchase online!
Our last feature post today is in honor of our new free with $50 purchase called Chalkboard Birthday illustrated by Nina Brackett.

If you're joining me today for our new release blog hop, you should have arrived here from Jennifer's blog.  If not, consider starting over at the beginning over at TCM's store blog.

My first card has lots of green - not a color I usually use but I liked this patterned paper from My Mind's Eye against the sentiment image that I stamped in white ink on dark grey card stock.   The Green Shimmer twine matched the green on the papers quite well.

I wanted to keep this card relatively flat for easy mailing, so I added a rose bud to the bow (which I picked up recently at Michaels).

My second card today shows another sentiment in this fun stamp set that I stamped in a label die, which was stamped with the coordinating frame.  I have been loving the look of tan and grey together lately... never thought I would like them together but I think they work well for a masculine card.  This card uses more patterned papers from My Mind's Eye along with some Black Shimmer twine for a quick embellishment.

Next up on the hop today is the fabulous Jinny!

For all the other designers' links with today's new stamp set, please hop over to The Craft's Meow blog.  Leave comments along the way  for your chance to win today's stamp set for your collection!

Happy Hopping!
Jessica

Love the bright clean look of the green and white background on the first one. Also love how the blue and green brightens up the second card.

Did you choose green because of the Green Bay Packers? It is very cute. I like the twine, also.

Very cool. I like the green and white with the black chalkboard effect. The second card was lovely and I liked the placement of the doily. the diagonal plaid paper is really cool and looks great against the kraft cardstock. Great job!

Loving your green card, great dp and use of doilies and twine. I think with a bit of masking any block of words could be stamped out of this set :-)
