Seeing Polka Dots!

Good morning!

I'm popping in today to share some cards that I made for the new The Twinery's challenge.

This month it's all about Polka Dots!

I pulled out some frame stamps from PaperTrey Ink and a sentiment stamp from Stampendous and whipped up several winter themed thank you cards - perfect for all the Christmas and birthday gifts we've gotten here at my house the past couple of months.

I used a couple of fun twines on my cards - it's hard for me NOT to use them on my projects because they are so handy and 'homespun!'  My go-to twines lately have been my beloved Flax and Gold Shimmer twines... both of them are perfect neutrals for most of my projects.

More information about the Polka Dot challenge can be found right HERE.

I hope you get a chance to play along with us!

TCM February Release blog hop!

Welcome to the The Craft's Meow February release blog hop!

If you've arrived on my blog from Jennifer's blog you are right on track for today's hop.
If not, please consider  hopping over to the TCM's blog for all the links for today's fun event!

My first card uses the new free with $50 purchase Soaring High (for the sentiments) along with the heart garland found in Baby Shelf.  I went with a kraft/cream/white color scheme and was thinking that the message in the sentiments is one that I have shared many times with my kids.  When I saw this paper from an older October Afternoon patterned paper pack, I just had to use it!

My second card pairs the lamp image from Baby Shelf along with a partial sentiment from Rejoice.  When I stamped the lamp (added a tiny heart sticker to the center of the lamp), I knew I wanted a non-baby sentiment to go with it so imagine my delight when I found this one in the Rejoice stamp set!  Once again, I used a PTI impression plate and vellum for my background overlay.
Next up on today's hop is the fabulous Julie!

Happy Hopping!

TCM: Rejoice and Soaring High previews

Welcome to the fourth and final day of previews for The Craft's Meow February release!

Be sure to hop over to the TCM's blog for all the links and projects the designers have prepared for today using Kaitlyn Ord Long's new Rejoice stamp set and the new free with $50 purchase set
illustrated by Nina Brackett called Soaring High!

My  first card uses my favorite vellum/embossing background that I've been obsessed with lately along with a sentiment from the beautiful Rejoice stamp set.

My last card uses both of today's stamp sets: Rejoice and Soaring High.  On this image I was able to use Stampin Up's ink for the bird and was pleased to have not lost out of the lovely details Nina put into this image.

Tomorrow all the new stamp sets will be available for purchase and we'll be back for the monthly new release blog hop!

See you then!

TCM: Geometric Foundations Preview

Welcome to the third day of previews for The Craft's Meow February release!

Be sure to hop over to the TCM's blog for all the links and projects the designers have prepared for today using Karen Baker's new Geometric Foundations stamp set!

My first card was made using February's sketch challenge for this month...

My last card uses one of the geometric patterns from the set along with a couple of sentiments from the set.  I made this card for my son who turns 16 on the 19th - which is today already!!  How did that ever happen?  He's such a good kid and we are very blessed to have him in our family.

I'll be back tomorrow with another couple of cards that I made using the last two new stamp sets for TCM's February release!

See you then!

Happy Anniversary. Brad!

Good morning!

If you're looking for my TCM preview post, please scroll down one post or click HERE.

My card today is with an anniversary card to share today in honor of today since it's the day that my husband and I met 17 years ago!  We had a whirlwind courtship and were married on Memorial Day just a few short months ago.  Not long after that, the Lord blessed me with morning sickness and a new little baby boy growing inside of me!  He was born in February a few days early on the 19th - just one year and one day after Brad and I met!  Whew!  Not something I recommend, but it was God's plan for us and we are so thankful for our courtship and our son who will be 16 tomorrow!  My, how time flies...

But, you didn't come here to hear my little love story so enough of that... lol

Today's card was made with the beautiful Nature Silhouettes (I stamped the floral repeatedly in in lavender and green to create a fuller effect.) and the popular Bottom of My Heart (for the sentiment).

I used the beautiful Platinum Shimmer Twine since it went so well with my soft stone color scheme.

Have a wonderful day filled with love and great memories!

TCM: Easter Blessings

Welcome to the second day of previews for The Craft's Meow February release!

Be sure to hop over to the TCM's blog for all the links and projects the designers have prepared for today using Karen Baker's new Easter Blessings stamp set!

Yesterday I mentioned that I like to use Stampin Up's ink for solid stamp images.  I didn't use that ink on these detailed silhouette images though because when I did, I lost the detail of the script on the animals' bodies.  Instead I used PaperTrey Ink's dye cube stamp sets and was pleased that I didn't lose the detail.

The sentiment on the first card is from No Greater Love, by the way.

I also used an impression plate on the vellum overlay on the card below...

I'll be back tomorrow with another couple of cards to share with another new TCM stamp set!

Have a wonderful day!

TCM: Baby Shelf preview

Welcome to the first day of previews for The Craft's Meow February release!
Be sure to hop over to the TCM's blog for all the links and projects the designers have prepared for today using Nina Brackett's new Baby Shelf stamp set!

My first card uses a couple of images from the stamp set all stamped in Stampin Up ink.  I like SU's ink for solid stamps - it really coats the images well.  I also used quite a bit of vellum too... I love the soft look it adds to my cards lately!

My second card uses a couple of sentiments from the set and was made to give to a girlfriend who is pregnant.  I went with pink because SHE's a girl - we don't know what she's having yet...

I'll see you back here tomorrow with another couple of cards with another new TCM stamp set!

Have a great day!

Wishing You Happiness

Good morning!

My card today uses the beautiful Happy as a Lark and Beautiful Hymns stamp sets from The Craft's Meow. I adore the woodgrain background and that leaf sprig from both of the sets and had so much fun playing with them from January's release.

I decided to make a love themed card to add to my 'wedding/anniversary' card collection using this lovely sentiment (love the font of the sentiments from these coordinating stamp sets!) from the free with $50 purchase, Lark Additions.  It seems like those are another card theme I need quite a bit too!

As you can see, I used a couple of my favorite twines on it too - Flax and Gold Shimmer... two great neutrals that I can't get enough of on my card projects lately!

Have a wonderful day that is filled with happiness for you and your loved ones!

SNSS: Springtime Sparrows

Good morning!

Today is the last day of our February new release blog hop for Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.  We are showcasing the beautiful Springtime Sparrows stamp set.  I love the images and sentiments Korin included in this set!

For my first card I cut the flying sparrow away from the large image so I could use it separately.  The floral image is from Nature Silhouettes.

The background is my latest obsession... embossed vellum.  This time I cut the vellum the same size as the pink card stock and then added it to the white card front.  I actually stapled the doily and the vellum to the pink card stock to adhere everything together.  The focal image hides the staples, so it works perfectly.

My second card uses the large image along with a sentiment in the corner.  I stamped it on Stampin Up's shimmery white card stock that was cut out with the top note die cut.  It's quite sparkly/shimmery in person but I couldn't get a good shot of that with the camera.

Check out all the beautiful projects below that the designers did for today's hop!  They outdid themselves again!  Remember to check out all the new stamps available over at SNSS!

SNSS: Jesus Paid it All

Good morning!

Welcome to day 3 of the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps February Easter release blog hops!  Today we are showing my favorite of all the new stamp sets for this month: Jesus Paid it All.

Isn't it beautiful?  I love the sentiments Korin added in this set.  And, even better?
There's a die to match it too!

My first card uses the sentiment from a favorite song celebrating what Easter is all about.  I stamped it on this tag and used a silhouette flower image from Nature Silhouettes as a background.

For my second card, I stamped the cross image on the sunburst embossed card stock (sorry, I can't find it on the PTI website to let you know the name of it) and then traced around the image with a W2 Copic marker.

Once again, check out all the photos below for all the other designer's projects with today's stamp set.  They have outdone themselves again!

Have a wonderful day!

SNSS: Springtime Babies

Good morning!

I'm back with another couple of cards for today's SNSS blog hop featuring the adorable new spring stamp set called Springtime Babies.

My first card uses this sweet bunny and butterfly images that I colored just a bit with Copic markers.  I embossed the vellum background with a PTI impression plate - if you've been checking in on me the past several days, you can see that I've been doing that technique quite a bit lately.  This time I used a heavier weight vellum and some of the embossing got etched quite deeply with white... pretty cool!

My next card uses a couple more images from the stamp set.  Those chicks are so adorable!

To see everyone else's projects for today's hop, please check out the card photos linked below.  They will take you directly to the designer's blogs.

Happy Hopping!

TCM Valentine/Love Themed Blog Hop

Good morning!

Welcome to a special Love themed blog hop - courtesy of the designers from The Craft's Meow!  If you've arrived on my blog following along on the hop, you should have arrived here from Jennifer's blog.  If not, be sure to check out TCM's store blog for all the links and information about the hop.

My first card uses the beautiful Flower Garden along with a sentiment from All You Need is Love.  So soft and pretty with that embossed vellum background and doily...

My second card is as blue as the first one was pink!  Once again, I used a vellum embossed background - love that technique and how delicate vellum is when it's embossed.  This card uses the coordinating sets Stitched Flowers and Stitched Sentiments.

My last card is a fun one made with the sweet Fruity for You stamp set... love this one for 'quirky' love cards like this one.  I stamped the CAS card and then embossed the whole panel and then stitched it to the card base adding a few embellishments.

Next up on today's hop is the sweet Karen!

Happy Hopping and have a wonderful rest of your day!
Jessica

Thankful for you

Good morning!

I have a card to share with you that I made using several stamps from latest release from The Craft's Meow: Beautiful Hymns, Many Thanks, and Happy as a Lark.  Such fun stamps to use together for a quick thank you card... which I seem to be in need of quite often!

Have a wonderful day and THANK YOU for stopping by!
I'm thankful for you.
