Good morning!
I have a Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Christmas card to share with you this morning. This one was made with Dina Kowal's beautiful Seek Him Still stamp set. I stamped the main image on linen card stock in brown ink and them trimmed around the frame. To age it, I spritzed it lightly with water and then crumpled the stamped paper into a ball. To finish it off, I lightly rubbed brown chalk ink over the entire image, being sure to have the ink reach as many as the 'wrinkles' as I could. Then, I smoothed it all out and added it to the card front with pop dots.
This was a fun 'shabby' card to make - one with lots of distressing on the layers - something I don't always do, but fun to try out with the vintage feel of the focal image I used on my card. I tried to keep the card relatively flat, so that it wouldn't be too hard to mail for Christmas. That's one of the reasons why I love to use The Twinery twines on my cards.... it's a pretty flat embellishment, even with the bow, unlike most ribbons. On this card, I used my very favorite Flax twine - such a versatile color!
Before you go - be sure to check out the two new metallic twines that The Twinery has in stock!
Have a great rest of your day!
