Happy 5th Birthday, Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps!

Good morning!

Today I'm joining my friends from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps in celebrating this fabulous company's 5th birthday!  Korin has asked each of us participating in today's hop to choose our favorite SNSS set/s to use for our cards today and she has put them all on sale too!  For a limited time she is offering our favorite sets at 25% off!  All the details can be found on the SNSS company blog.  If you've been hopping along today for our event, you should have arrived from my sweet friend Jennie's blog.

My first card uses the beautiful Poinsettia stamp set.  I stamped the flowers on pink paper in versamark ink and embossed with white embossing powder and then colored them in with Copics.  Then, I took a large background stamp (an old retired SU set) and lightly stamped over the entire pink paper.  After embossing the green card front and shading with ink, I stitched the pink stamped paper to finish it off.  Some soft seam binding and buttercup twinery twine with buttons were added for embellishments.  Finally I added a felt heart border die that I stitched through the center of the hearts, tucking the sentiment tab under the tops of the hearts.

Card Details
Stamps: Poinsettia (SNSS); Aida Cloth background stamp (SU retired)
Ink: Versamark; Colorbox Chalk; SU; Versafine black
Card stock: SU; PTI
Other: Seam binding ribbon; Recollections ceramic rose; sewing machine; copics; white embossing powder; buttons; buttercup twine from The Twinery; MFT tab die and pink felt; PTI heart border die and impression plate; white liquid pearls

For my next two cards I used the same stamps and papers to make a couple of autumn cards.  I really like the bold leaf images in the Leaf Silhouettes stamp set - the leaves are so chunky!   I stamped several leaves in Brilliance inks - I love the metallic sheen these inks have and how well they work with clear stamps.  It's hard to pick up on the camera, but the leaves definitely have a little shimmer to them.  I trimmed them out, leaving a white border and then layered them behind my seam binding ribbon bow and roses.  The sentiment is from the adorable Fall Time Cocoa and adds just a bit of whimsy to my card, don't you think?

Card Details
Stamps: Fall Time Cocoa; Leaf Silhouettes (SNSS)
Ink: Brilliance
Card stock: PTI; SU retired patterned; SU white
Other: Sewing machine; paper piercing template; wild orchid roses; seam binding ribbon; SU punches and brads

My next card uses basically the same supplies - just a bit of a different layout.  Once again, I stamped the leaves in brilliance inks and this time cut around them without a border, layering them in the bottom corner with a couple of roses for embellishment.  Such a quick and easy thank you card to add to my stash for this month!

This next card isn't a new one for today's hop, but it's one of my favorites that I made with the adorable Bee Happy Rhubarb.  I love our adorable Rhubarb line and think this one is my favorite set of all - a bear dressed up like a bee?  Sounds too much like something Winnie the Pooh would do, doesn't it? lol!

And finally, one last card from me today - another favorite one from the Morning Glory stamp set - this is such a gorgeous floral set!  I love the colors of this card - I believe I made it for a SCS sketch or color challenge...

I hope you've been inspired by everyone's beautiful projects today and happy shopping!

Happy birthday, Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps!  Congratulations, Korin!
