Christmas thank you cards

Hi There!

I'm happy to report that this year I not only got some Christmas cards and photos out in the mail to my friends and families but also had time to created a couple of dozen of these CAS Christmas cards!  I love how they turned out and will definitely be returning to this layout and design the next time I need to mass produce some cards.

While working on getting my Christmas cards out in the mail, I was rather frustrated with the standard size of cards/envelopes and that they don't fit a regular 4x6 photo.   I decided that I needed to swap out some of my traditional card sizes (4.25 x 5.5 especially) to make them them a bit larger to accommodate the photos that I like to include in certain cards for family members.

So, while I decided I wanted to use the legal size envelopes (#10) I needed to come up with a paper solution for this size.  I have tons of 8x8 DCWV patterned paper stacks in my stash which just happen to be one sided, meaning the backside is white... PERFECT!  I pulled out DCWV Old World stack and went to work... scoring at 4" and then trimming to 3 3/4" so I could overhang the snowflake just a bit as shown below...

I used a Sizzix snowflake die that I bought years ago through Stampin Up - not sure if they still have it available or not, sorry.  For stamps, I used PaperTrey Ink's Think Big #5 thank you sentiment for the outside and the 'a big thank you' stamp set that was included in my most recent PTI order which was perfect for the inside of the card!

Super quick and easy to crank out 25+ of these and love all the different color combos that the paper pack provided...

Here's the inside - I used Memento Dew Drop inks in Rhubarb stalk and Bamboo Leaves for the sentiment. It was a bit more work using two inks, but worth it in the end, I think.

Stamps: PTI Think Big #5 and A Big Thank you
Card stock: DCWV Old World 8x8 mat stack

Have a great day - thanks for checking in on me today!
