Digital Stamps & PaperCraftPlanet Sketch...

Happy Saturday!

I have a fun card to share with you today that I made a little while ago this afternoon using some digital stamp images from MyGrafico. They are sponsoring the sketch this week for PaperCraft Planet and asked the design team to show off this fun digital image set called Butterfly Garden.

If you decide to play along with Melanie's sketch challenge this week over on PCP, you have a chance to win this fun set too! You don't have to use their images to be entered to win, but they are offering 2 free downloaded sets for everyone in honor of National Scrapbooking Day! How great is that!? Here's the links to the free sets:

Now, onto my card...

I printed out the flower two times and the two butterflies on GinaK's Pure Luxury 80lb. white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. For the flower, I took a Koh-i-noor pencils, OMS & blending stump to blend the colors a little more. The OMS made my ink toner bleed a little, but it actually worked well with the paper I was going to use for the card - so it all was fine in the end! lol!

The paper I used is actually a free Digital paper from Emily Giovanni for GinaK Designs. If you would like to download it for yourself, check out the Freebie Tab on StampTV - there are several free downloadable items there. I printed the 4 papers at the 5x7 photo size on GinaK's 80lb. Pure Luxury White cardstock - it's the perfect weight and smoothness to make even a cheap printer look professional!

Here's a quick photo of the supplies I used to make the card... ignore the sad photo - just look at the supplies! lol!

The card size is 5.5 x 5.5 - which is a fun size with this large SU Sizzix scallop circle die. The nestability circle is the largest plain circle die from the Large collection. I left off the greeting in Melanie's sketch, but added the butterflies on each side to simulate the strip - hope that was okay, Melanie!

Here's the sketch by Melanie Muenchinger:
