Brayered Glossy Challenge

Good evening!

I'm not feeling very well tonight, so I'm going to make this a quick post - I hope you don't mind. My challenge for Gina's Release Party can be found here in Gina's Forum, so I'm not going to go into too many more details since you can click on the link and it will take you directly to the important information.

I wanted to give a few details about my card that I'm sharing though. I ran glossy paper through my Cuttlebug. The details that you can get with glossy cardstock is amazing! Then, I took my brayer and Certainly Celery ink to ink up the embossed glossy paper. I love how bright and shiny this technique is!

The flowers are from Melanie's new A Year of Flowers - aren't they pretty? I stamped them in black Versafine ink and clear embossed them on watercolor paper. Then, I watercolored with my Niji Waterbrush and SU reinkers: Ruby, Not Quite Navy, and Summer Sun. I really like how well they embellish this folder.

The tags are also glossy paper - after using my Tag Nestabilities Dies, I brayered celery ink over each of them. The sentiments are stamped and embossed the same way as the flowers. Here's the inside view...
I was going to try to show you some more samples of this technique, but ran out of time this weekend to play. I did get a chance to stamp though - Christmas cards galore, actually! I am having a couple of Christmas Stamp a Stacks this month and wanted to get the cards all done for both of them. I took photos this afternoon of the ones for GinaK Designs store this afternoon and need to get photos of my Stampin Up one tomorrow so I can share them with you here on my blog over the next few days.
Then, I had a chance to see all the entries to my challenge and thought - why should I worry about sharing more samples, when so many ladies have made beautiful cards with this technique!! You've got to check them out - they really are neat! Here's the link to the gallery where you can find them.
I have a few classes this week - but am not able to share photo examples yet since I haven't had a chance to upload the photos yet. But, here's the schedule and look for the photos over the next few days -
Tuesday, October 7 (5:30-7:30) Autumn Brayered Cards $15
Thursday, October 9th (4-8) Stampin Up Monthly Class - this is held in my home. For more information email me at jessjean12@gmail.com or call me at (608) 772-2906.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you can join us in my challenge. The deadline is this Tuesday night. And, don't forget about GinaK's awesome World Card Making Day Promotion!

This is so pretty! The new stamp set by Melanie goes so nicely with this CB folder. I like the way you did the inside of the card too, it adds a nice touch.

Thanks for the tip on using Glossy CS in the Cuttlebug! I am so enjoying this technique and thinking I *need* more folders to add to my collection! :o))
