So Grateful for Autumn

Scrapbook Details: So Grateful, DCWV patterned paper & choc paper, SU solid cardstock; Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, SU buttons, DMC floss, Crystal Lacquer, Clear Sakura Glitter Pen, Judikins Straw Speckles, Copic Markers, Fiskars Threading Water border punch, SU eyelets, Basic Grey Archaic Fibers, Ribbons, Sanding Block

I am in LOVE with Rupa Shevde's stamp set, So Grateful. The images and verses that she has included in her set are some of my favorites this month. Rupa is one of the most giving ladies that I've met - right along there with Gina. For a limited time, a generous portion of the proceeds of the sales of this stamp set will be donated to Feed the Children. This promotion will end at the end of the day on Thanksgiving.

When I pulled her set out to work with over the weekend, I decided to use a few images to make a couple of 6x6 scrapbook pages. These particular pumpkin patch photos are a few years old, and they have so many fun memories associated with them. I especially love the photo of my husband and son with their hands in their pockets walking through the pumpkin fields together on the hunt for the perfect pumpkin! Be sure to click on all the photos in this post so you can get a closer look at all the details.

All the images were colored in with Copic Markers and watercolored Sakura-style and then coated with Clear Crystal Lacquer. The photo above shows a little bit of the amazing sparkle that is on all the stamped images. I debated about whether or not I should put glitter and crystal lacquer on the pumpkins and apples and am glad that I decided to go with the sparkle since it matches the DCWV paper.

What do you think of my straw speckles? I bought a small jar of Judikins Straw Speckles a few years ago at a local scrapbook store. Gina made fun of me for buying sawdust... which is exactly what it looks like! heehee... But, it only cost me $1.99 and I've got LOTS left - so since I don't have access to sawdust, it was a bargain to me! heehee... It adds so much to images like these, don't you think?

Be sure to check out everyone else's awesome samples with this beautiful stamp set called So Grateful!
