Good morning!I know a lot of people aren't particularly fond of Stampin Up's new set "Sock Monkey" - but I love him. That smile is so cute and googlie eyes are perfect for his little face, don't you think?
I sat down on Saturday and made these cards - and some more that I'll share tomorrow. I love the accessories that come with the set and can't wait to order the additional holiday accessory stamp set that is in the big catalog.
I used some of the new In Colors on these cards. I'm having a hard time warming up to these colors. But I know as soon as I get more of SU's designer papers that they have in their catalog I'll love them. Their patterned paper selection is amazing in the new catalog, I think.
The above card is one of the cards we'll make next Wednesday at my regular monthly Stampin Up class that I hold in my home. Since not everyone likes the Sock Monkey, I thought we could make a birthday card with the accessories.
The images on all 3 cards are stamped on watercolor paper. The first 2 cards were watercolored with SU's Watercolor Crayons and the last one is with the new In Color Reinkers and an aqua painter. Lots of diamond stickles are on each stamped image to help it pop. I also dug out my crimper for the above card to add a little interest to the white panel.

I'm one of those who isn't fond of Mr. Monkey... but I DO like your card. It is really cute. I LOVE the card you did with the other stamps in the set. Good idea.
