Class Samples

Card Details: Framed Flowers; Bazzil & DCWV Textured Cardstocks, SU whisper white, K&Co. DSP; Cuttlebug, Embossing Folder; Nestabilities; Reinkers: Olive, Ruby & Pumpkin (SU); Baby Wipe, Sanding Block

Hi!
I'm sorry to say that I haven't had an opportunity to stamp anything new over the past few days... Don't you hate it when life gets in the way of playing! LOL! So, I decided to share some cards I designed for a few of the classes I have recently taught at Gina's store in McFarland.
The first card was one from the Background Basics Class showcasing a couple of techniques: Baby Wipe Stamping & Selective Cuttlebug. We ended up doing 6 or 7 techniques at this class and it was one of my favorite classes that I've taught so far! We played with shaving cream, babywipes, pastel chalks to name just a few.
Gina sells an awesome Rubber Stampin Technique DVD that she produced a few years ago. I used the first of her 3 part DVD set as inspiration for the class. Splitcoast Stampers has a great tutorial for the baby wipe technique if you haven't seen it yet. Indigo Inkling has some awesome Cuttlebug tips. She has a lot of tips for selective dry embossing with the cuttlebug embossing folders.
Card Details: Baskets of Happiness; SU gable green, watercolor papers; Nestabilities; Cuttlebug; Twinkling H2O's; Aqua painter; Peerless Watercolors; Versamark; White Embossing powder
This second card is a Shop & Stamp card. We had severe weather roll through our area that day though, so only a few stampers were able to make it into the store that night. I loved how this little square card turned out though and thought I'd share it today.
The card base is embossed with a square nestability. The image is cut out of watercolor paper with a smaller square to 'nest' inside the embossed square on the base. The basket is stamped in Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder. Then, a wash of light green Twinkling H2O is brushed over the entire square to help the image pop. The basket is painted with Peerless Watercolors and an aqua painter. I love using these two paints together.

Card Details: Botanical Dreams; Bazzil Textured, K&Co. DSP, SU ww; Nestabilities, Cuttlebug, Glitter Dots, Koh-i-noor Pencils, OMS, blending stumps; stickles ; Black StazonThis last card is one from an Odorless Mineral Spirit class. The card is very basic, so that we would have lots of time to practice our coloring techniques. This is one of my favorite stamp images to use for coloring classes - it looks great colored with any medium!

Thanks for stopping by today!
Jessica

Oh Jessica - I've just realised you are THE Jessica that Gina always refers to. I used to admire your work before when Gina posted it (pre- your blog!!)
I love that little green card and it just reminded me to dust off my twinkling H2o's.
