Welcome to the NinaB Designs Blog Hop!
If you've arrived from Jennie's blog, you're right on track. If not, stick around and check out the links at the end of my post so you won't miss out on any of the projects and prizes for today's hop.
This morning Nina's designers are joining together to do a 'technique' blog hop. Nina said we could interpret the challenge any way we wished, so I am sharing three cards I made using one of my favorite 'technique' - Copic Coloring on patterned papers!
I used Nina's The Craft Meow Life is a Carnival stamp set for all of my cards today and stamped all the images in Versafine ink (my favorite black ink on patterned papers) on these K&Co. patterned paper tag die cuts that I've had in my stash forever and just recently pulled them out to start using them! lol!
My first card has the most coloring on it. I did not clear emboss the Versafine ink, so I was careful to not over saturate the stamped image with my markers since the ink does bleed a bit. You can probably see that a bit in the close up shot above. After I was done coloring, I went over most of the stamped lines with a black Sharpie to 'crisp' them back up a bit.
After the card was assembled, I added some diamond stickles to parts of the images and set aside to dry. All the rhinestones are from Want2Scrap.
This card is one of my favorites because I am in LOVE with this aqua/turquoise color paired with the bright greens this spring - since winter is having a hard time letting go of her grip here in Wisconsin!
I stamped the ferris wheel on the die cut and did just a tiny bit of shading with Copics. This time I used The Twinery's Caribbean twine for this card - again, a perfect match! I only added stickles to the cars on the ride and then embellished the center with a flower from Recollections (Michaels craft store purchase ages ago!).

Such fun colors and fun sentiments to use on all three cards, don't you think? Nina is so clever with her images and sentiments she includes in her stamp sets!
