Warm Winter Wishes

Good morning!

Today's card is another winter/Christmas card... are you starting to get ready for the holidays?   This adorable image is from All That Scraps CC Designs Swiss Pixie Through the Night.  I paper pieced her jacket/robe and colored her with Copics, adding just a touch of stickles glitter glue to her lantern. I stitched around her and then layered the focal image over a doily, embellishing a bit with some coordinating Wild Orchid roses.

Please ignore the terrible stitches around the card front - I used some thread that was too thick for my machine and it skipped terribly until I realized what the problem was.  The sentiment is from Amy R's Snowman Sentiments.  I wrapped some cappuccino twine from The Twinery around the card front - I love to use twine because it seems 'lighter' than ribbon to me.

Have a great day!

Blue Snowman

Good morning!

I'm back this morning with another winter/Christmas card to share with you.  This 5.5" square card was made using All That Scrap's Chill E. Pinebough - isn't he adorable!?  I colored this sweet snowman with Copics and added some red liquid pearls for the berries on the wreath and then used lots of white liquid pearls for snow.  To finish it off I added a bit of stickles glitter glue to the snowman's hat.  Some stitching around the focal image as well as the card front finish off this CAS card.  I used a large paper doily behind the image for some interest - how I love those doilies!

Thanks for stopping by!  Enjoy your day!

Hugs and Kisses!

Good morning!

My card today uses some stamps and dies from All That Scraps.  I colored Birgitta Blowing Hearts with Copics, trimmed around the image, and layering her over a PTI doily die cut.   Then I stamped some sentiments from AmyR's Hearty Sayings on a strip of patterned paper as well as on CC Designs Cutters Big Hearts die cuts.  I don't usually go with a red, white, and blue theme (I love those colors but it usually feels so patriotic to me! lol!) but I think it works on this card....

I hope you enjoy the rest of your day!  Thanks for popping in on me!

Coolest Holiday Wishes

Good morning!

Isn't this image fun?  I love how quirky she is, don't you?  I'm back with another Christmas card for my stash.  She is from All That Scrap's Laugh Lines Snowball  image along with Amy R's Snowman Greetings.
I colored her with Copics and embellished with white liquid pearls for snowflakes and some Martha Stewart 'flaky' glitter - isn't that fun?  The snowflake dies are from My Favorite Things.

Enjoy your day!

Wonderful Time of Year

Good morning!

I know we're just beginning school and that it's not even 'technically' fall yet, but since you're a card maker like I am I'll bet you're starting to think about your Christmas card stash, right?  I have a 5.5" square card to share with you today that I made with some stamps from All That Scraps.  I used Sweet November Adorn D. Yard image along with a sentiment from Amy R's Snowman Sentiments stamp set.  I colored the adorable snowman and mouse with Copics and embellished with liquid pearls for the cranberries and diamond stickles for her hat and scarf.  I tore some textured white paper and layered them over the focal image to resemble snow drifts.  Such a fun card to make - although I am in NO WAY ready for winter to come!! lol!

Have a great day and thank YOU so much for checking in on me!

Let it snow...

Good morning!

I have another Christmas card to share with you this morning that I made using All That Scraps stamps.  This fun snowman is called CC Designs Snowman - appropriate, huh? lol!  I love his hat and popped up carrot nose!  I colored him with Copics, did a bit of paper piecing and used liquid pearls and stickles for some embellishing.  Lots of stitching, patterned papers, and the CC Designs Mitten dies with mandarin twine from The Twinery.  The sentiment is from AmyR's Snowman Sentiments.

Have an enjoyable rest of your day!

You are So Sweet

Good morning!

Today's card shows off another sweet All That Scraps CC Designs image.  I love that line of theirs!  This one is called Swiss Pixie Lulu Big Heart.  After coloring her in with Copics, I trimmed around the image and layered over this large MFT doily die.  I stamped a sentiment from AmyR's Heart-y Sayings on the heart she is 'wearing'.  Just a bit of maraschino twine from The Twinery layered over a mini button added a small little embellishment.  I don't normally stitch with colored thread but should since I kind of like the tone on tone look...

Have a great rest of your day!

Just for You

Good morning!

Today is the first day of school for the kids.  It's going to be a fun busy day for them and for me!  I thought I'd share this fall-ish card with you today that I made using stamps from All that Scraps and PaperTrey Ink.  The sweet girl is from CC Designs Swiss Pixie Hello Birgitta.  I colored her with Copics and added some tiny buttons to her shirt.  The sentiment is from AmyR's Snowman Sentiments and layered on some older Stampin Up punches I've had for years.

Those beautiful leaves are from PaperTrey Ink - I love them so much!  I die cut a green and yellow leaf and stamped the coordinating images tone on tone adding the veins with brown ink.  They are also pretty stamped in versamark and then the veins in the coordinating inks.  Some cappuccino twine from The Twinery layered over the SU ribbon that I've been hoarding for years added a nice 'fallish' flat embellishment.  Some stitching and brads finished the card off.

I hope you have a great day - I KNOW we will!  Wish us luck!

Sealed with a Kiss

Good morning!

I'm back with a 'scrappy' card to share with you that I created using All That Scrap's Amy R Stamps Heart-y Sayings along with some older K&Co. patterned papers.  I liked the quilt feeling of the patterned paper, so decided to go with that look and do some stitching around the entire piece.  The heart is also from ATS - Big Hearts.

The focal sentiment is stamped on another 'quilt' square, adding some buttons to the corners for some added interest.  Don't you love it when your patterned papers do most of the work for you?

Have a great rest of your day!

Warm Winter Wishes

Good morning!

Today's card is another All That Scraps card I made while guest designing for them a few months back.  It uses C.C. Designs Sweet November Zach along with a sentiment from AmyR's Heart-y Sayings.  The snow flake dies are from My Favorite Things and layered heart dies are C.C. Designs Cutter Big Hearts.

It's been a nice and relatively warm winter for us here in Wisconsin - and I for one am not complaining!  Since February is just about over, it looks like we MAY have escaped the worst that winter may bring us, although we can get some big snow storms in March and even April... But, at least when we get snow during those two months, the temperatures get warm enough that it can melt pretty quickly too, so we'll see!

Warm wishes to you, my friends!

I heart You

Good morning!

I'm back with another All That Scraps card to share today.  This one uses Sweet November "Tess" along with AmyR's Heart-y Sayings.  I also used a few ATS dies on my card - I love that so many companies are coming out with their own dies, don't you?  I used C.C. Designs Cutter dies: Big Hearts, Leafy branch, and Phlox flowers.  After coloring Tess with a variety of Copics, I highlighted her hat and coat with some icicle stickles for a bit more sparkle.

Have a great day!

Hogs and Kisses

Hi there!

Today was my class Valentine's Party at school.  We had it today, since K4 and K5 weren't in school yesterday for Valentine's Day.  It was a fun day - filled with love notes, hearts, candy, some school work, lots of noise and smiles.  It was pretty sweet seeing how excited they were to get love notes from each other.

My card today was another one I made while guest designing for All That Scraps.  The image is CC Designs Cupig (how cute, right!)  and the sentiment is from AmyR's Heart-y Sayings.  Fun stamps to play with, I think!

Tomorrow morning starts weekend long blog posts in honor of The Craft's Meow February release.  You're going to love the 4 stamp sets that will be available for purchase on February 20!  Also, keep your eyes out for something fun coming from The Twinery in the next day or so... that's all I can say for now... shhhh -

She {hearts} Winter

Good morning!

I have a card to share this morning that I made while I was a guest designer over at All That Scraps.  I just realized I haven't shared all of my cards I created for them, so you'll be seeing them over the next few weeks as there are quite a few.  I love the cutesy images that ATS carries and was thrilled to be asked to guest design for them.

This image reminds me of my daughter Ashley who LOVES winter, snow, sledding, etc.  While I don't share her love, I do get a kick out of her enjoyment of all things winter. She's been a bit sad this year as we haven't had much snow at all, which is very unusual for us in the mid-west!

The images I used are Sweet November Georgia along with a sentiment from AmyR's Heart-y sentiments.  The layering hearts are also from ATS - Big Hearts die, aren't they cute layered together?  The snowflakes and large doily die are from My Favorite Things, by the way.

Have a great day!  Ash will be happy to know that we're supposed to get a couple of inches of snow tonight... lol!

Snow!

Hi there!

I'm popping in quickly tonight to share a card I created while I was All That Scraps guest designer last month.  I thought it would be a good time to share it since we are finally having our first winter storm - much to my daughter Ashley's delight!  The snow is pretty dry and fluffy, so it's not the best snowball making stuff, but the students at school were much more excited about the snow than the moms who drove them back and forth to school!

The image is Sweet November Max with the sentiment from AmyR's Heart-y Sayings ...

Card Details
Stamps: Sweet November Max
Ink: Tsukeniko memento
Card stock: Stampin Up; K&Co. patterned papers; Copic Xpress it
Other: Twine from The Twinery; SU button; sewing machine; copics; My Favorite Things snowflake dies; stickles

Have a great rest of your night!  I'll be back tomorrow with some fun news to share with you!

Snowman Christmas Lights

Good morning!

I'm back with another snowman card to share with you this morning.  This one is All That Scraps' Sweet November Dazzle M. Nightly - isn't he adorable with his string of Christmas lights?  I stamped and colored him with some Copic markers and then added some Crystal lacquer to the ornaments for a bit more shine.  I wanted the focus of the card to be on this cute snowman, so after adding a few snowflake embellishments, a doily, and some stitching I called it done!

Card Details
Stamps: Sweet November Dazzle M. Nightly (ATS)
Ink: Versafine
Card stock: SU; Copic Xpress it
Other: Snowflakes (SU and unknown); Copics; doily; sewing machine; Crystal lacquer; Making memories button brads

Have a great day!  Thanks for checking in on me!

Warm hearts

Hi there!

Today I'm sharing a card I created using the Sweet November Wish U. Good Cheer rubber stamp available through All That Scraps.  As I mentioned before, I am honored to be their guest designer for November and December.  I adore cutesy stamps and ATS has tons of them!

I paper pieced the snowman's scarf & hat, used a few Copic markers to color the ornaments and highlight the snowman a bit to create my card.  My sewing machine gave me fits with the brown thread that I was using, so I just went with the skipped stitched and added a few dots of liquid pearls to make it 'look' they were 'meant to be' rather than a sign of frustration... lol!

Card Details
Stamps: Sweet November Wish U. Goodcheer (ATS)
Ink: Versafine
Card stock: Stampin Up
Other: Copics; SU felt snowflakes; foil snowflakes (unknown); sewing machine; SU punch; hero arts gems; SU ribbon; crystal lacquer; lace; twine from The Twinery

Surprisingly enough, we still have not received any significant snowfall here in Madison, WI yet... that is VERY unusual for us!  I'm not complaining, trust me - but my daughter is officially in 'mourning' as she can't WAIT for it to snow (which I hear every morning from her when she wakes up and sees it hasn't snowed yet - lol!)

Have a wonderful day - and if you have snow where you are, my daughter is VERY jealous of you today!  lol!
