It's a Great Day for a Picnic!

Good morning!

The sun is shining and the weather is gorgeous this morning!! I was going to share my sketch challenge card with you this morning, but I decided to share this picnic card in honor of all the holiday picnics everyone will be having this weekend!

The image is a Sarah Kay stamp that I bought through 7Kids College Fund awhile back. I paired it with Basic Grey's Two Scoops papers and buttons along with the Curvy Rectangle Nestabilites. Everything was colored with Copic markers to match the patterned papers.

Have a great day - hope some yummy picnic food is in your future this weekend!! lol!

Stylish Artist...

Good morning!

Today's card's inspiration comes from my daughter Ashley who is very artistic! She LOVES to draw and is really amazing with her creativity. I didn't discover my creative side until I became an adult - so I it really excites me to see her artistic abilities.

So, when I saw this Sara Kay stamp at an online store over Christmas, I had to get it. After coloring her in with Copics and using Basic Grey's Sugared line to make the card, I showed the card to Ashley and told her that this little girl reminded me of her.

Her response? She told me that that it was cute, BUT she didn't have hair like this, clothes like this or an easel exactly like this one either... Yep, she's 8 - at the literal phase in her childhood! LOL!

Gina has a couple of AMAZING Colored Pencil/OMS videos on StampTV this morning that you have GOT to check out! She is such a coloring goddess with those pencils - go see the videos and you'll see what I mean!

Have a great day!
Jessica
