The Missing Baby... (and a birthday card)

Have you had fun trying to match the baby photos with the PaperCraft Design team members? I am LOVING all the photos but it's really hard to match them all, isn't it? I have a photo of the baby/designer who's missing - can you guess who this little red head is?

To enter the contest, be sure to leave your guesses over at the PaperCraftPlanet's Blog.

Now, on to my card...

How's this for a bright cheery birthday card? I made it using my Sketch Challenge from last week over at StampTV. The papers are all from Stampin Up (except the white which is GinaK's pure luxury cardstock). The embossing on the papers are Sizzix's texture plates that I bought from SU a few weeks ago. After I colored the image with copic markers, I put a thick layer of Crystal Lacquer over the dish and spoon and stickles on the rest of it.

The inside is all dolled up too - with the image decorated with stickles, liquid applique, and crystal lacquer...

Make a Wish!

Card Details: Make a Wish (GKD); Cardstock: SU - mellow moss, cocoa, bashful blue, ww; Copic Markers; Pebbles Pearlescent Chalks; Cuttlebug & embossing folder; Tim Holtz Distresser; Versafine Black Ink & Clear Embossing Powder; Queen & Co Brads; Staedtler Black Fineline Pens

Good morning! Since we're away on vacation, I thought I'd share a few cards that I made a few weeks ago with Gina's awesome set Make a Wish. It's one of her Stamps for a Cause sets - a portion of the sales goes to the Make a Wish foundation.

A family I babysat for a few years ago has been a recipient of this awesome foundation, and I know they had a great time going to Disney World together as a family. I'm sure many great memories were made that they will cherish for a lifetime.

Both of these cards were colored with my Copic markers. The wishing well is colored on whisper white cardstock from SU while the birthday cake is stamped & colored on SU saffron cardstock. I was really happy with how the colors looked on the light yellow paper.

I absolutely love my cuttlebug & embossing folders! They add just the right textures to almost any project! Before running the papers through the cuttlebug, I rubbed the same inks as the papers onto the embossing folders then embossed them. Whoever came up with this 'cuttlebug smoosh' technique is a genius! It adds awesome highlights to the embossing... I love it!

Card Details: Make a Wish (GKD); Cuttlebug & embossing folders; Copic Markers; SU paper: mustard, chocolate, saffron, caramel; Inks: Caramel & Chocolate SU, Versafine Black; Clear Embossing Powder; SU ribbon; Tim Holtz Distresser; Crystal Lacquer

Have a wonderful Saturday!
Jessica
