Paper Craft Planet Sketch Saturday

Happy Saturday!

Have you buzzed over to the Planet yet this morning? Each Saturday morning one of PCP's Design team members will be issuing a Sketch challenge. We're so excited that many sponsors have been lining up to give away prizes to one lucky winner for each Sketch! How cool is that?! This week, Sakura is the sponsor and is giving away some of their awesome pens! I was excited to hear that - I didn't know they were the sponsor when I made these cards this week... but I ended up using their Glue Pen, Glitter Pens, and Glaze pens on my cards!

Our design team theme of the month for November is gratitude. So, I was still thinking of that theme while creating these cards. This first one could be for a special daughter, mom, babysitter, church nursery worker... and the list goes on and on! This image is from GinaK's Kindred Spirit's line - which is one of my very favorite stamp lines ever.

The image is Rebecca - isn't is adorable? The saying is from the Kindred Greetings for her stamp set.

I listed the specific details about my cards at PCP, so I'm not going to do that here. Check out my page, Sketch Gallery sk110808, or the Gratitude album to see them all there.

This next card is another Kindred Spirit image - this time from Gina's Kindred Kid's line. The stamp is called Slumber Party. The sentiment is actually from the Kindred Greetings for Him stamp set, but fit so well with the image. The Friend saying is from Botanical Dreams.

The images were colored with Copic markers and highlighted with Sakura's Glitter & Glue pens & Doodlebug's Glitters. I did my Watercoloring Sakura Style technique on some of the images on each card to make it all sparkly. The close up views show that a little better I think.

Here's my last card... a text message thank you. Wouldn't this be perfect for a teenage girl? I absolutely love this Basic Grey Romani paper pack that I used on all the cards I'm sharing today. They are so bright and cheerful!

The stamp set is Gina's Text Messages and the saying is from the Kindred Greetings for Kids stamp set. I thought it was perfect with this thank you saying. We're all lucky to have good friends, aren't we?

I hope you enjoyed all the projects I've shared today. Susanna's sketch is so fun and easy! Give it a try - I'd love to see what you'll share with us on PCP!

On another note, GinaK's release party and sneak peeks are next week! The sneak peeks start on Tuesday at Midnight with the Release Party on Thursday from 7 - 10 in her Forum on SCS. Mark your calendars - we have lots of fun stuff to share with you all!!

Have a wonderful day,
Jessica

Happy Sunday! It's my mom's birthday today *Happy Birthday, Mom!!* and in honor of all she does for our family, I thought I'd share some of my favorite stamps that Gina sells - her Kindred Spirits' line.

I LOVE them all and they are so fun to color! I used a couple of my favorite coloring mediums with these cards - Copic Markers and my Koh-i-noor Pencils and OMS.

The layouts on all of these cards are quick and easy, so that the emphasis is on the stamped image. This is one of my favorite layouts to use with a large focal image and it's a great way to use up scraps, too!

The tag card below is a little different - the orange layer opens like a mini card. I thought this would make a great bookmark. I can never have enough of those around!

Thanks for stopping by!

Jessica
