Welcome to the last sneak peek of a new stamp set from The Craft's Meow 's September release which will be available for purchase tomorrow, September 21. We have five new stamp sets that we will be featuring until then on our blogs to give you lots of ideas with these fabulous new stamp sets!
Today's stamp set is called Christmas Angels, illustrated by Clare Buswell. The angels Clare illustrated for this stamp set are just too cute! I used one of them on my first card along with the sentiment and frame from the new Rustic Greetings stamp set, featured yesterday. Isn't she cute, all paper pieced?
Stamps: Rustic Greetings (sentiment & frame); Christmas Angels
Ink: Black Versafine; Colorbox light brown
Cardstock: Coordinations shimmer (pink); My Mind's Eye patterned; PTI solid
Other: Copics; doily; seam binding ribbon; flower; sewing machine; corner rounder; Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps bookmark border die
My next card uses the sweet little mistletoe image Clare included in her set along with a couple of sentiments I pieced together on the tag die cut. I stamped the mistletoe all over the light linen card stock and then colored with a couple of Copic markers. Then, I embossed the entire panel with an impression plate and shaded the edges with some light brown chalk ink. After adhering it to the card front, I added some white stitched lines around it for a 'homespun' feel. It's so much quicker to just sew it on then 'stitch' it but I wanted to give it a try. Of course, my white ink pen wasn't cooperating very well, but I think it works.
Some green peapod and red maraschino baker's twine from The Twinery worked well for a quick embellishment. I wanted to keep it very flat, just in case I want to mail it out for Christmas. The green on the tag is color with a light green Copic Spica pen, so there's a nice subtle shimmer/glitter on it but my camera doesn't show it very well, I'm afraid.
Stamps: Little Angels
Ink: Memento; Colorbox light brown chalk
Card stock: PTI
Other: PTI impression plate; Copics; baker's twine from The Twinery; Copic Spica glitter pen; PTI tag die and frame stamp set; white signo pen
