SNSS: Mod Ornaments

Good morning!

Welcome to another blog hop featuring a stamp set from the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps' September release.  Today's stamp set is called Mod Ornaments and it coordinates with the already existing Vintage Ornament die collection... don't you love that?  I know I like have a couple of options for my dies, so this new stamp set is a big hit in my book!

I die cut the ornaments with white card stock and stamped using the new Stampin Up in-colors, see how nicely their new inks cover the silhouette images?  I embellished the dots on the images with a variety of pearls in my stash, trying to match the ink colors a bit with them.

It's hard to see, but I embossed the vellum overlay with a diamond impression plate before layering it over a soft stone polka dot patterned paper.  Love all the textures on this CAS card.  I used some platinum shimmer baker's twine to 'hang' the ornaments on the card front.

My next card is ever more CAS - once again, to me Christmas cards need to be simple to help in the 'mass production' and relatively flat to help when needing to mail them out.  This one fits the fill pretty nicely.  I used the new Stampin Up strawberry slush ink and coordinating card stock (embossed with an impression plate for added texture) along with some patterned paper from My Mind's Eye.  This time I used some white pearls to embellish the dots in the ornament.

Here's more from Korin on today's featured stamp set:

your colors really pop against the neutral background. I love how the subtle background has the faint patterns...super clever!
