hi.

Good morning!

Summer is winding down for us here in Wisconsin and it's almost time to head back to school for the kids.  I've been working in my classroom and preparing plans for the past few weeks and am just about ready for the little ones to come back.  As much as I love teaching, I love summers and having my kids at home.  It's been a great summer for all of us - I hope it has been for you and yours too!

I'm sharing a couple of cards I made recently to post on the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps blog and thought I'd share them with you today.  I used the fabulous new Bookmark Bits & Pieces stamp set with the coordinating Bookmarks & More die set.
You can purchase them as a bundle - check out this yummy goodness:

Card Details
Stamps: Bookmark Bits & Pieces; Mini Tags & Sentiments (for the 'hi')
Dies: Bookmarks & More (SNSS)
Embossing: PaperTrey Ink impression plate
Twine: Stone from The Twinery
Inks: Distress; Memento; Copics
Patterned Paper from My Mind's Eye

The 'hi' comes from the sweet little Mini Tags & Sentiments stamp set - another set that's available as a bundle!

I love the globe Korin included in this stamp set and wanted to try to create my own background with it.  Not sure if it worked the way I was hoping but it works.  I think next time, I should stamp it in a lighter color instead of the black.

The sentiment was stamped on the new Decorative Frame stamp set and cut out with the Decorative Plaque dies yet another set you can purchase as a bundle!

Card Details
Stamps: Decorative Frames; Bookmark Bits & Pieces
Die: Decorative Frame
Ink: Versafine black; Distress
Caribbean twine from The Twinery
Patterned Paper from Echo Park

Have a great day - enjoy the rest of your summer!
Jessica
