TCM: Masculine Blog Hop Event!

Hi there!

Today I'm joining the designers from The Craft's Meow in our monthly themed blog hop event.  The theme this month is "Masculine" - fun, right?

If you've been following along on the hop, you should have arrived here from Jennifer's blog.  If not, feel free to start at the beginning - all the links are on TCM's Store blog.

My first card uses the fun Birthday Pun stamp set (for the lion & coordinating sentiment) and Fun{tache}tic (for the sentiment).  I made this card for my husband for Father's Day - and yes, I added one of my beloved doilies to my card, I just couldn't help it!  I added the woodgrain image from Happy as a Lark on the die cut and them sponged the same ink over it to soften it a bit.

Here's the inside - I used the sentiment bubble from Just Sayin' and the sentiment is from Let's Face It.

My second card was made for my son to give to my husband for Father's Day.  Brad is a huge car/racing fan - so the Vintage Rides and Zoom Goes My Heart is perfect for cards for him.  The sentiment and thought bubble are from Let's Face It and the 'road' is from Typically Teen.

I used lots of patterned papers from a couple of My Mind's Eye paper packs and sponged the edges with Dark Brown Chalk ink.  I love stamping on patterned paper and color the image with Copics - it's such a quick way to color.

Here's a look at the inside - the sentiment is from Many Thanks.

Finally, my last card is for my daughter to give to her daddy for Father's Day.  Ashley is a daddy's girl who LOVES it when her dad drives 'on the wild side.'  The sharper the turns, the quicker the speed, the better for her.  I told him recently that he is training her to like 'dangerous' boys with all antics he likes to 'show off' for her joy. :)

I used Life is a Carnival for the sentiment, ribbon, and ticket banner.  The hat is from Let's Face It.  Once again, the papers are from My Mind's Eye, which has been sponged again with dark brown chalk ink.  I also used The Twinery's Solid Mandarin.

Here's the inside - again, from Life is a Carnival.

Thanks for sticking with me through all my photos today!

Next up on the hop is the amazing Jinny!

All the details of today's hop can be found on TCM's store blog - be sure to check in there for all the important stuff!

Happy Hopping!
Jessica

Jessica I love your punny card with the lion!! Isn't it a stretch when you have to make three cards for one person - I have that once a year too!
