Deepest Sympathy...

Good morning!

Today's card was made using a couple of Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps: Smell the Flowers ( flower image) and Sheltering Cherry Blossoms (sentiment).

I colored the image with Copics and then stamped the vase part of the image a second time on a piece of vellum, trimmed it and layered it over the original stamped image, which I had already colored.  It adds just a bit of 'creamy-ness' to the images (not a word, but it does! lol!) which helps make it look a bit more like a 'real vase.'

Then, I stamped the sentiment on a strip of vellum in black stazon ink and layered it over the image.  I also used vellum with the Stampin Up honeycomb embossing folder - love the look!  The embossed border strip is also from Stampin Up.

After the card was finished, I added some diamond stickles to the flowers and stems for a bit of sparkle.  Who says sympathy cards have to be dark and understated?  I think this is the most opportune time for a bright, cheery card, don't you?

Enjoy your day!
Jessica

Great card Jessica - love all the different ways you have used the vellum.
