Deepest Sympathy

Good morning!
My card today is one we all dislike to make, but unfortunately need to have on hand - don't we?  I find that sympathy cards are very difficult to design, not just because of the reason why we need them but also because these type of cards need to be soft and understated with a touch of elegance... at least, that's what I try to achieve when designing them.

So, while designing this particular card for my husband to give to a co-worker who recently lost his beloved wife to cancer, I pulled out the Layers of Color Merci Bouquet for the focal floral images because I adore the delicate nature of Laura's designs in this stamp set and used a beautifully elegant Hero Arts Antique Writing background stamp for a soft backdrop to the image.

Card Details
Stamps: Merci Bouquet (LOC); Hero Arts sentiments and background
Ink: Memento
Card stock: GinaK white, black, lavender, and grey
Other: Copic markers; SU satin ribbon; Spica glitter pens; pearls

Here's the inside view of the card ...

Have a nice rest of your weekend - thanks for checking in on me today!
