Day 4 Previews: Nana's Needlework

Good evening!

Welcome to our last night of previews for the new March stamp sets that will be released tomorrow night after the big party over on StampTV!  The first stamp sets that I have samples for tonight were both designed by Nina Brackett.  They are called Nana's Needlework and the companion sentiment set called Nana's Sentiments.

My first card shows the large doily image, which I made pop by using the Emboss Resist Technique.  I stamped in Versamark ink and embossed with White embossing powder on patterned paper and then sponged Vivid's Aqua ink over it to really make the embossed image pop...

Card Details (card size: 4 1/4" x 5 1/4")
Stamps: Nana's Needlework; Nana's Sentiments
Card stock: GinaK white, black; DCWV Linen Closet
Ink: Versamark; Vivid; Versafine
Other: embossing powder; border punch, dauber, buttons, jute, nestability tag die

I have one more card that I wanted to share with Nina's sets because I just adore this button border that she included in her set.  Isn't it cute as a frame for her knitting basket?

Card Details
Stamps: Nana's Sentiments; Nana's Needlework
Card stock: GinaK white, black; Basic Grey Lily Kate patterned
Ink: Versafine black
Other: Detail clear embossing powder; Copics; Marvy Super jumbo scallop heart punch; piercer; safety pin

Of course it would be better if I had sewed on my card, but I'm still having issues with my sewing machine.  The tension on the bobbin is all wonky, so I went rather plain and simple with this card so that the images would take centerstage!

The companion sentiment set will retail for $12.95.  The stitching and fonts are so delicate - this inside shows that better than my first card...

*********
Last by certainly not least is the adorable stamp set from Rupa Shevde called Spring Has Sprung and I am IN LOVE with this little duckie....

Seriously, we all gasped at how adorable this little duck is when the stamp set was shown to us at work!  Rupa did an amazing job on this set - like always, of course!

Card Details
Stamps: Spring Has Sprung
Card stock: GinaK soft sand, ocean mist, white; Cosmo Cricket Material Girl and Garden Variety
Ink: Cocoa memento
Other: Copics, Nestability tag die; clip; GinaK ribbon and button; Standard Oval & Big Scallop Oval nestability dies

I couldn't resist sharing one more card with Rupa's Spring Has Sprung set tonight too - look at these adorable toadstools (or are they mushrooms?)...

It went well with this Cosmo Cricket patterned paper, I think ....

Card Details
Stamps: Spring Has Sprung
Card stock: GinaK green apple, ivory, kraft; Cosmo Cricket Nutmeg dp
Ink: Cocoa memento
Other: Copics, stickles, brads, corner rounder, ribbon, big scallop rectangle nestabilities, library clip

Is it possible I met you in the store last Friday? My husband and I came up from Rockford with only a few minutes to spare before you closed....didn't catch anyone's name at the time.

Anyway....hope you will come by and say hello at both Julie's Open Window and The Play Date Cafe Challenge.
