Feelings of Hope: CSS Blog Hop

Welcome to another CenterStage Spotlight Design Team blog hop!

Gina challenged the CSS team to make a card with the new Hope is Faith stamp set.  Check out Gina's blog for all the details on this special stamp set.

On the front of my first card, I used the sentiment from Gina's Hope is Faith stamp set along with Nina's gorgeous Lovely Labels image.  So many sentiments fit inside Nina's labels - I'm so thrilled to have it in my collection!

Card Details:
Stamps: Hope is Faith, Lovely Labels
Card stock: GinaK white, black; Theresa Momber Wings of Hope Digital
Ink: Versafine black ink
Other: Detail clear embossing powder, SU organdy ribbon; Martha Stewart punches; mini rhinestones; Copics

and the inside - on these labels, I trimmed them with scissors and didn't use the Nestability dies to cut them out...

This is the photograph that Gina asked us to use as an inspiration for our projects tonight:

And, here's my card that I made with the photo in mind...

I wanted to go with a clean and simple look for my card and nothing says that more to me than lots of white cardstock and elements.  On this card, I paired the butterfly image from Hope is Faith with the Daisy image and sentiment from the Spring Florals stamp set.

Can you see the sparkle on the card front?  After stamping the bed of flowers along the bottom of the white card stock, I sponged Versamark Dazzle ink over the entire paper and sprinkled it with Iridescent Ice embossing powder.  After it was heat set, this is how glittery it ended up...

Card Details
Stamps: Spring Florals; Hope is Faith
Ink: Versamark dazzle; Memento - red, orange, green, and yellow
Cardstock: GinaK white; Vellum
Other: Snowflake embossing powder; Copic markers; White satin ribbon; Pearl brad; Irridescent Ice embossing powder; SU oval punches

The butterfly was stamped in Versamark ink and heated with Snowflake white embossing powder.  Then, using a red and orange Copic marker, I colored the back of the butterfly to make it almost appear like stained glass.

The inside is very simple and understated...

Thanks for stopping by tonight and have fun hopping!

Before I go though, I have to wish my son Isaiah a super Happy 13th birthday!!  We're so blessed to have him in our family.  He turns 13 on the 19th (tomorrow), so I thought I'd share some recent photos of him (all taken around Christmas time)...

We have a houseful of kids over for a birthday party/sleep-over tonight.  They're having a blast together, as you can imagine!

It's so fun seeing him grow up and become a man right before our eyes.  Love you, my son!
