First Christmas Blog Hop

Happy Friday!

Tonight we are showcasing Asela Hopkin's adorable Christmas stamp set called First Christmas. I have been having a lot of fun with the images in this set and know many of you have too because it's been flying off the shelves at the store!

My first card pairs these cute gingerbread cookies with two other GinaK Stamp sets: Have a Cookie and My Cuppa Joe. Don't they all work perfectly together?

Card Details
Stamps: First Christmas, Have a Cookie, My Cuppa Joe
Cardstock: GinaK white, tan leather, and Kraft; DCWV Sweet Stack
Inks: Black Versafine; Copic Markers
Other: Detail Clear embossing powder, Rhinestone gems for the cookies, Liquid applique, glitter, EK Success Square punch; Marvy Super Jumbo scallop square punch, Circle & Rectangle nestability dies

Some of our favorite Christmas memories are all the sweet treats we like to bake and give to family and friends - so this card will be perfect paired with a plate of goodies for a special someone in a few weeks. Can you believe how quickly the holidays are coming this year!?

Next up is a super simple but classy card that I just love...

The paper did all the work for me on this card. I stamped the Christmas bulbs on this glittered paper in Versafine ink and embossed with clear embossing powder and then cut them out. They are popped up on the card with some silver cording to finish them off. The background paper is just one layer - that white scallop border is part of the design.

This card inspired another class kit card that Gina and I will share tomorrow morning on our blogs. It will be available for purchase online then - so check in with us then to see it.

Great job on both -- and no, the paper didn't do it for you on the ornaments -- there was a lot of creativeness to make is so special! The gingerbread couple look alive with their buttons and bow and what a great match with the cup -- the inside is great too. I guess you could say, I love these cards....
