You're a Star & Online Video Links to check out!

Good evening! I have been battling a sinus headache all day - and it's still hanging on... so my post is much later than I had planned for it to be!

I wanted to share this project with you over the weekend, but since the weekend got away from me - I thought tonight would work too... sorry for the delay! If you're a regular visitor to my blog, you've seen a bunch of these little gift pouches that I've shared recently - all made with GinaK's new stamp sets just released this past Thursday night. The one tonight is made with Melanie's Hip to be Square stamp set and Gina's Mega Doodle Scallop Frames & Doodles stamp sets.

The boxes are made with Sizzix's exclusive Stampin Up die called Mini Baskets & Blooms. I watched a great video by a Stampin Up Demonstrator Angie Juda and had to try her alteration out while I was preparing for the Release. Her video is very instructive - so I'm not going to go into much detail with the boxes themselves.

I was really happy to see how well gift cards fit in these little pouches. But, I couldn't always find a gift card that matched the patterned papers that I wanted to use for my projects. So, I pulled out my ScorPal and made my own!

I'm sorry I don't have a fancy template for my envelope - I don't know how to make those yet! However, here's the measurements:

Envelope Base: 2.75" x 8.5"

Score on both of the 2.75" sides at 3/8"
Score on the 8.5" side at 2" and 5.5"

Cut into the 3/8" score lines to the 2" and 5.5" lines to create the envelope flaps in the center. Using paper punches - round the corners and add a scallop border to one edge.

Using Mono Multi adhesive, glue the 3/8" flaps to form the envelope pocket.

I know that can seem like Greek to all of us visual learners out there - but using the basic measurements and looking at this opened envelope below, I think you'll be able to figure it out...

On another note - if you're looking for some awesome Copic Coloring Tutorials on YouTube - you've GOT to check out the ones from Suzanne Dean! She is such an artist and I've been having such a great time tonight nursing my sinus headache by watching her videos.

Her coloring techniques are a little different than mine - she starts with the darkest colors first, but I LOVE her end results and will be trying her way out soon! She uses GinaK's Pure Luxury 120 lb white cardstock and her Magnolia rubber stamped images just glow...

Suzanne, you are such an artist! Thank you so much for sharing your talents with us!!

And, don't forget - Gina will be sharing another technique video later tonight over on StampTV with the new Holiday Cheer StampTV kit. I've seen her project - and it's adorable! But, I don't want to ruin the surprise... so check into StampTV and it should be on the main page sometime after midnight!

Happy 'Computer' watching - now you know why I don't ever have time to watch television!
