Happy Labor Day!
Well, I'm sorry to say that I'm still feeling under the weather... I may have to visit the doctor to see if my cold is actually a sinus infection - what a bummer! But, enough about that - let's talk about this card I made with Asela Hopkin's gorgeous Fruitful Harvest stamp set. Isn't this sunflower image pretty?
It may look like I used bleach for the yellow sunflower petals, but I didn't. I simply used Koh0i-noor's Yellow colored pencil! After stamping in black Versafine ink & clear embossing the flowers all over this Pumpkin Spice panel, I used a brown and yellow colored pencil and shaded the images.
I kept the card super simple because I wanted these beautiful flowers to take center stage. The inside of the card is super simple as well...
And, finally here are some back to school photos of my kids that I promised a while ago...
I'm sorry the photos are not the best - for some reason I don't always get good photos with my point-n-shoot digital camera. (It just reminds me how much I miss my broken Digital SLR camera... boohoo)
Here's Ashley all ready for the long awaited day...
Here's Isaiah my 7th grader -
And Ashley my 3rd grader in her desk -
They are loving being back in school and we are expecting it to be a great year for both of them! And finally, our Soccer player at the first game on Friday who fittingly enough is wearing jersey #1...
Thanks for checking in with my today and enjoy the rest of your holiday!

Sorry to hear you still aren't feeling very well. Your big sunflowers are beautiful. I thought you used bleach until I read your instructions. Cute pictures of your children. Thanks for sharing. Hope you are feeling better soon.

Here is another one that thought when I came here (from STV) that you were going to say "bleach" and love the yellow pencil idea on that Pumpkin Spice CS!
Sorry you aren't feeling any better...Hope you get well soon. It is so nice that your kids enjoy school! They look ready :o) They grow fast...I have a 8th grader/4th Grader (and 17 mo.) and the years are flying!
Great card, Jess. How funny, I didn't realize our kids were so close in age. Of course (as you saw at Gina's store), MY 7th grader looks HUGE next to yours. LOL My Emily is a year younger though. Great school pics too.
Aw, they look so cute, all ready for school!! I hope they enjoyed their first day back.
You know, I can't believe how much Ashley looks like Brad! WOW! I had to come back again to tell you that! LOL! (Of course, I could have told you that in the morning at work, but, you know how it is. LOL!)
