Good Luck!

I'm so glad it's Friday, aren't you!? My kids have one week left of school and then it's summer vacation - we're all ready for it!

I paired Theresa's Out West stamp set with Asela's Botanical Dreams stamp set to make this fun graduation/good luck card. I stamped the images on some watercolor textured paper and used a variety of Colored Pencils, Odorless Mineral Spirits and blending stumps to color.

When using textured cardstocks such as this one with Colored pencils and OMS, be sure to have enough OMS on your blending stump to move the color. The texture hinders the blending, but it you keep dipping the stump in the OMS, it will end up looking watercolored.

I didn't notice until I was editing the photos that I cut off part of the sentiment... oops! I edged the papers with some chalk inks. The rust paper has textured added with a Big Shot Sizzix texture plate from Stampin Up. The leaf punch is a Punch Bunch paper punch.

Have a wonderful week - I hope it's filled with lots of time for stamping!

I love the colors... I love how you colored the image. It doesn't look like water coloring to me.. it looks more like you used pastels which is just awesome!
