Day 2 Previews...

We're showing two more beautiful stamp sets tonight and first up is Asela Hopkin's newest floral stamp set called Friendship Gardens. Asela has done it again by drawing some gorgeous images that just begged to be colored. I am so in love with her flowers and am thrilled to have this newest stamp set of hers in my stamp collection!

I chose to color the flowers on this card with Copics. After I colored them, I took my StarDust Glitter pen and added a wash of glitter over the entire image. After it had dried, I finished it off with a layer of Crystal Lacquer. The finished flowers look like one of those epoxy stickers that you can find at Michaels or Hobby Lobby.

I used one to decorate the inside of my card too...

I have a couple more cards with this gorgeous set but thought I'd save them for Thursday night's release party. Save the date! The party starts at 7:00 CST HERE!

********* Out West ***********

Are you as excited as I am about Theresa Momber's new role as Stamp Illustrator!? Isn't she an amazing artist!! Seriously, I was blown away by her illustrations when I first saw them. Not only is she an outstanding designer - she can draw amazingly well!! Just like a few others from Gina's design team that we know, right?! lol!

I have two cards to share with Theresa's gorgeous Out West Stamp set because once again I couldn't decide which ones to share! You know me - I always have to make tons of cards each month because the stamps are just begging to be inked up! Once I start stamping with a new stamp set, new ideas pop up as I'm creating one card - so I have to make several at a time to get all the ideas out!

First up, is a card I made for a special little cowgirl....

Don't you love those cowboy boots!? I stamped the images in Black versafine ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. I love the definition that embossing adds to images - they really pop! Then, I colored the boots with Koh-i-noor pencils, OMS & blending stumps.

When I was finished, I used the N1 Copic to add some shadows under the boots and the Red LadyBug Memento fine point pen to trace over the lines in the boots to add definition to them. Finally, I colored in the heel & bottom of the boots with the Rich Cocoa Marker.

Doesn't the paper behind that lovely Chocolate Kiss Cardstock (which I LOVE and will be added to Gina's store Thursday night) look like snake skin? It's actually cardstock weight vellum (from Stampin Up) that I ran through my Big Shot with a Sizzix Embossing Plate. Here's the inside of the card...

I love that cactus so much, that I made another card with it that I want to share...

I was thinking this would be a nice card to give to someone who is retiring from their job. I decorated the inside of the card but didn't share it because I am waiting on a retirement stamp sentiment to finish it off... I wonder who I can talk to to get one? lol!

Here's the blog links for to all the Design Team members who are showing preview projects tonight...

Check back in tomorrow morning for some more previews from all of us with 2 more stamp sets. Also, be sure to head over to StampTV for two new Videos from Gina tomorrow too!

Awesome job with these, Jessica. I agree on the cactus card - it does seem tailor made for a retirement card. I just got a sentiment set from SU that has a retirement sentiment on there. If you'd like, I can type in the sentiment and stamp off a couple to you if you like it. JLMK
