Because Gina is releasing 7 new stamp sets this month, we're beginning our previews a day earlier than usual - yippee! Tonight, we're showcasing 2 fabulous new stamp sets - one from Rupa called Guiding Light and one from Melanie called Wee-Tees.
I LOVE them both and have been having so much fun makings lots of cards with them this weekend! So much so, that I'm sharing 2 cards with each set tonight - I just couldn't decide which ones to show!
I still have a couple of more cards with each set that I'll share during Gina's release party Thursday night (April 23) over on Splitcoast in her forum. Save the date - there will be LOTS of eyecandy amidst all the chatter and challenges!
On to the cards - First up is Rupa's Beautiful Guiding Light stamp set...
I love this lighthouse - and used it on both of my cards that I'm sharing tonight. This set will get a lot of use from me because the important men in my life love the water! My husband and I almost always plan our trips around cities with water and my dad is an avid fisherman. You can imagine how excited I was to see this set as it was being developed and now to have it in my collection!
This lighthouse image was colored on Georgia Pacific cardstock with Koh-i-noor pencils and Odorless Mineral Spirits with Blending stumps. I made the card using the sketch challenge that I shared Thursday over on StampTV.
The patterned paper is a brand new Digital Paper pack called Jersey Shore that Gina will be sharing for free this month! Here's the inside of the cards - check out these fun images that Rupa included in her stamp set...
Next is another card made with the lighthouse again. This time, I stamped in black versafine ink and clear embossed before coloring with Copic markers. I used a Deckled Rectangle Nestability die for the main image along with some more of that yummy Jersey Shore Digital paper...
What do you think of the netting on this card? It's a new embellishment Gina is adding to her store on Thursday night. It's called Nautical Netting and it's really a great addition to your masculine cards. I used mini glue dots strategically placed behind some of the thicker fibers.
Here's the inside...
The crackle paper is also from the Jersey Shore Digital paper pack. I printed my paper out on GinaK's 80lb. Pure Luxury cardstock. I chose to print each sheet out in the 5x7 photo size, so I could get 2 papers printed out on each sheet.

Now, are you ready for a super cute baby set!? This is one of my very favorite sets of Melanie's because it's SO CUTE!! I couldn't stop making cards with it - you'll see why when you catch a glimpse of all the amazing cards everyone has been making with it!
Look at that onesie - and that adorable teddy bear! I used Basic Grey's Sugared Papers along with Nestabilities' Label One dies to make this fun card. Melanie has included a ton of images with sentiments to embellish the onesies (what a shock, right?! lol!). I chose to keep the words with the pictures, so it made stamping out lots of onesies a snap!
Here's the inside...
This time, I stamped the onesie on patterned paper and paper pieced it - super quick and easy! I used a copic marker to add a little shading to it. The sentiment is from GinaK's How Sweet it is! stamp set.
Lastly - check this one out...
How fun is this!? My cousin's wife recently had twins and I'm going to send this card to congratulate them on their little bundles of joy. I used the 'happiness is' sentiment from Melanie's Tee Talk stamp set along with some of my ABC stamps to spell out 'twins.' All of her Tee sets will work with Wee Talk perfectly - don't you love that? A whole family of T-Shirts! lol!
Here's the inside view...
I combined a couple more GinaK sets to finish this card off - the sentiment is from Make a Wish and the 'sweetest blessings' is from the Sweetest Blessings stamp set.
So, are you still with me?! I've got some links to share with you of everyone else's projects they have on their blogs tonight. I can't wait to do some blog hopping right along with you!
