Everyone likes glitter, right? Well, maybe not the mess it can make - but the effects are worth it to me! Today's projects were made at one of my SU classes that showcased the new glitter that Stampin Up began to carry in their Spring/Summer Catalog.
The card above uses turquoise Fine Cosmo Glitter. We stamped the now retired lower case 'u' in versamark ink on the white light weight chipboard sheet that SU includes in each pack of Designer Paper. I love to use these 12x12 sheets when I want something thicker than regular paper but not as thick as regular chipboard. It's easy to cut out and works great with many dies when I run it through my Cuttlebug.
After we stamped the 'u' in versamark, we sprinkled Heat-n-Stick powder over it, just until it melts. Sprinkle some glitter over it and heat set it for a second to let the glitter melt into the powder and it's ready! I love using heat-n-stick because the glitter won't flake off.
This second project is a book mark. The size of it is fun, isn't it? It's that shape because that's the shape of the chipboard coaster that one of my favorite places to eat gives us at every meal! I've been collecting them - with the help of my husband - and finally had enough to do this project with my gals at my class!
We covered the front and back with SU's Cutie Pie designer paper. The heart is a Sticky Back die cut that SU sold in their last catalog. It's double sided, so we stuck it onto that white chipboard that I talked about earlier and then sprinkled the Chunky Glitter that SU sells.
The above photo is a view of the back of the bookmark. I love all those ribbons and how they match the paper perfectly! That's one of the things I love the most about Stampin Up - everything coordinates and matches so well!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great rest of your day!
