Good morning!
Today is an exciting day for me because I'm headed to Milwaukee to take a Copic Certification Class with Gina and Alicia! I'm hoping to come home with lots of great tips on how to use my Copic markers to their full potential. It should be a fun day, hanging out with other stampers!
This morning's cards were made with Carolyn King's Framed Flowers set. I absolutely love this set! The bold images are perfect for a variety of direct to rubber techniques. This time I choose to use my Peerless watercolors, since they were already on my table!
Using an aqua painter, I painted directly on the stamp and then stamped it on paper - one on watercolor and one on whisper white cardstock. Once the paint was dry, I took my Mono Multi , glued some prima flowers, and then added my favorite clear gemstones to the centers.
I finally used my EK Success Button punch that I've had for a while. It is so cute - I don't know why I haven't been using it! Using my Koh-i-noor pencils, I shaded around the buttons to add a little depth to them. Then, I threaded Karen Foster's Scrapper's Floss through the holes to make it look like they were sewed on. I love her floss. It's so easy to use - no needle required!
Both of these cards just evolved from the scraps that have been accumulating on my table... that's how most of my cardmaking is done, actually! I look through my mess and see what I can make work on my project and go for it!
Have a great day!
Jessica
