Good morning!
What a week of inspiration the designers from Sweet'n Sassy Stamps have provided with the new September stamp sets! I've really enjoyed seeing all the projects everyone has made for our hops. It always amazes me what a variety of projects can come from the new releases every month.
Today, we are featuring the new Christmas Silhouettes stamp set - one of my favorites from this release. I had fun playing and preparing for today's hop, trying to make cards that I can mass produce for my Christmas list. I rarely send out all of the same designs to everyone - rather, I like to make several of one design and then repeat as often as I need to with new designs to keep it from getting too mundane for me. How about you - do you do the same or do you mass produce?
I've mentioned already that I really like the new Stampin Up in colors this year - my cards today use the new light blue/turquoise and light green. I paired them with Kraft and a light linen color to soften them up even more and give a 'country feel' to both of them.
For both of my cards, I stamped the images in the in-color inks (blue for the snowflakes; green for the tree and holly) and then used a linen impression plate for just a bit of texture. Some soft shading around the edges and some ink spritzing (with the in-color markers and my old SU marker spritzer) added some soft dots to the backgrounds.
I added some sewing to both of my cards too, as well as some tiny Want2Scrap pearls but if I was going to make several of these for Christmas cards, I think I'd just use some white liquid pearls to save some money and minimize the bulk a bit more. The dies on both cards are from SNSS's bookmarks & more die set - love those additions to our line. For my second card I added some platinum shimmer twine - love the soft sparkle of that baker's twine.
Here's more from Korin about today's featured stamp set and coordinating dies:
- Stamp set includes 6 images and 6 mix & match sentiments
- Set measures approximately 4" x 6"
- The tree image measures approximately 1 1/2" x 3"
- Designed by Korin Sutherland
- Stamp set - $15
- Die set - $21.25
- Bundle ($36.25 value) - $32

Happy Hopping!
