Good morning!
What a fun week it's been, joining the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps designers in showcasing the amazing new August release! Today is our last day and we are featuring two new sentiment stamp sentiments designed by Korin. I really like these and hope we have a new sentiment collection beginning with them... hint, hint, Korin!
My first card shows off the new Calms His Child sentiment - isn't this just perfect and so true? I was thinking of the 'storm' part of the sentiment, so I pulled our our Clouds & Raindrops die collection and die cut them from white felt to add to my card. I decided to go with blues and whites for my color scheme and kept everything to a minimum so the sentiment would make the full impact I wanted it too. For a bit of sparkle, I added some star dust stickles to the clouds.
My second card for today uses the beautiful His Peace sentiment stamp. I used the same blue patterned paper for the sentiment and this time went with a soft gray for a background. I used one of the Doily Border dies and more butterflies from the New Beginnings stamp set and die collection for embellishments. Butterflies always speak to me of hope... once a lowly worm, transformed to a free spirited butterfly - a lovely metaphor to the peace that God can give to heal His children and free their hearts, don't you think?
