The Twinery: Flowers

Good morning!

Today I'm sharing some cards that I made for the new The Twinery challenge: May Flowers.

I used Blossom Iridescent twine (currently sold out) for my first card - wrapping it around the stamped, embossed vellum overlay on my card three times.

I used a couple of stamp sets from The Craft's Meow for this card: Happiness Is and Beautiful Hymns.

I stamped the flowers and leaves in black stazon on the vellum card stock and then colored the back of the images with Copics. (If you color the front, the ink will make the colors smear.)  Then, I embossed the entire vellum overlay with a PaperTrey Ink chicken wire impression plate.   

I stamped the sentiment on some coordinating patterned paper and used some matching brads to attach the vellum to the card front.  I embellished the leaves with some rhinestones.

My next card is much more basic, letting the flowery patterned paper be the inspiration.  I added several sentiments from TCM's Cherished along with some cute bumblebees from Thanks Bee to Thee.  Then, I wrapped Mandarin Twine three times around the card front and added a trio of flowers, with hand cut stems and a Peapod twine bow to embellish.
