Welcome to Day 3 of The Craft's Meow March release! Today, we are featuring Nina Brackett's Take the Cake stamp set. It's a huge stamp set - filled with fun images and sentiments.
I was in a monochromatic color scheme mood when I created my cards today. For my first card, I embossed the vellum paper with a PaperTrey Ink impression plate and then 'built' my cake using the same strip of polka dots three times. I added the candles to the top and finished it off with a sentiment.
Then, I finished off the card by added a double wrapped Red Shimmer twine from The Twinery. (one of their new twines just released!)
My second card uses a block sentiment that I treated like it was a present and added the coordinating bow to the top. The tiny rose bud image was stamped on the linen card stock repeatedly in white craft ink to make my own background. I added some glue and chunky glitter to the lines in the sentiment block for some interest.
