SNSS April Release blog hop!

All of the Design Divas are excited to kick things off today with a fun blog hop full of inspiration using the sets that will be available for purchase in the store tonight.  Ready to get started?  If you've arrived here from Korin's blog, you're right on track for the hop.

I was assigned to work with two adorable new stamp sets and this first one is one of my favorites of the entire release!  It's called Owl Be There - check out this adorable owl!?!  Isn't she the sweetest?  I paper pieced her and added her to this scrappy card.  The size is around 5" x 5 1/2", by the way.  I wanted to add a sentiment to it, but couldn't figure out where to put it, so I stamped it on a tab die and tucked it on the side.

Card Details
Stamps: Owl Be There (SNSS)
Ink: Versafine

Card stock: SU; Crate Paper Emma's Shoppe dp
Other: Lace; red twine from The Twinery; Sizzix leaf die; MFT tab and large scallop dies; corner rounder; Tim Holtz ruler & paper piercer; wild orchid flower

My next card uses an image and sentiment from the new Special Boy Cocoa - the same set I used to make yesterday's birthday card for Korin.  Check out those fun new dies too - grass and fence die strips!  They are sold together as a set and are fun to use together to make scenes like this one, don't you think?

Card Details

Hi Jessica! Hope all is well with you and your family and that you are enjoying your class. Girl I love the way your first card looks like a file folder! Too stinkin' cute. I really like that leaf die as well. I will have to be on the look out for that one at M's and HL's. And you certainly selected great dies to use with you second card as well. Nicely done!

Your cards are wonderful. Great idea with the sentiment on the owl card! Love that little scene with Cocoa. I think those dies are going to be very popular!

Both of your cards are adorable! The placement of the sentiment tab makes the owl card resemble a file folder, and I think that's pretty cool.
