Cat's Pajama's Challenge: Pink!

Good evening!

I have a quick card to share that I made to be entered into The Cat's Pajama's challenge for this month - and the deadline is looming, so I better hurry up!  The challenge was to use Pink on our projects... so - here's my take on using pinks with Alma's adorable stamp sets.  I haven't gotten these particular ones inky in a while, so it was fun getting them out and playing with them tonight!

Card Details
Stamps: The Cat's Pajamas - Be Still my Beating Heart; Smells Like Cake
Ink: Versafine Black; Memento black; Vivid pink
Cardstock: GinaK chocolate; PaperTrey white; Basic Grey dp
Other: EK Success border punch; copic markers and sakura glitter pens; corner chomper; pink silk ribbon from Starlit Studio; BG button

and the inside - with my favorite little penguins... up to their usual mischief -

I've also added my card to the fun challenge going on over at Simon Says Stamp challenge this week.  The challenge was to use 3 different embellishments (ribbon, doily, and button) and 2 patterned papers (dots and light pink on the outside from Basic Grey and/or one on the inside) and 1 image.  I may have strayed a bit from this one since I paired the cupcakes with the kitty on the top though... but, we'll see.  I'll enter it anyway!  lol!

Have a great night!

Valentine Kitty

Good morning!

Can you tell that I've been working on Valentine's Day cards lately? LOL! Here's another one! The stamps on this card are from the same stamp set that I talked about in yesterday's card - Loving Mew and Be Still my Beating Heart from The Cat's Pajamas.

I love this Kitty - doesn't she look 'angelic'? I stamped and embossed the kitty and the heart and then sponged with Ranger's Red Lipstick ink. But, when it was done, I think it made her look a little 'devilish' - rather than loveable! lol! I added a couple of Kaiser Kraft Pearls for her collar.

These papers are Basic Grey's Offbeat. Yep, I'm on a big Basic Grey kick lately too! I punched out Marvy's Giga, Mega and Super Jumbo Scalloped Heart punches and then layered the smaller two hearts together to make a little nest for the two little birds who are oblivious to the kitty above them checking them out! lol! The birds are from Basic Grey's paper pack - I just cut them out and shaded them a little with Copic Markers.

We decided to reschedule my Stop and Stamp that I was going to be having at GinaK's store from 1-6 because of the 5" -8" of snow that will be arriving throughout the day tomorrow. We didn't want to ask people to stay and make cards when the weather wasn't the best! It will be held next Friday, January 16th from noon - 6. I'll share the projects we'll be doing together in a few days here on my blog.

Have a great day!

I'm just your Love machine....

Good morning!

Isn't this the cutest little robot and saying!? I just had to giggle when I saw this stamp set called Loving Mew from The Cat's Pajamas. They were having a great sale over Christmas vacation, so I took advantage of the awesome prices and bought a couple of acrylic stamp sets.

Shipping was fast and their acrylic rubber stamps are really top quality. Alma is such a sweetheart - check out her stamps, if you haven't already! She's got some adorable ones in her collection.

Yesterday, I shared my husband's Valentine's Day card - this card today is going to be for my son. He'll be 12 next month and is into anything and everything video game related, so when I saw this little robot I immediately thought of him and how much he would like this little guy. This sentiment is in the stamp set and it just makes me laugh.

The heart stamp is another really nice set that I ordered from Alma called Be Still my Beating Heart. It coordinates with Marvy's Heart Punches. I love it when stamps work with my Paper punches!!

I used Basic Grey's Archaic Paper and buttons on my card along with some GinaK Screw Brads. To shade my card and make it more 'masculine' I pulled out Ranger's Inkssentials Blending Tool and foam and Peeled Paint Distress Ink and shaded all the layers inside and out. I really like the warmth that added to the card.

This is a closeup of the inside panel - I punched some more Marvy scallop heart punches and did some more stamping and coloring. All the images were stamped on GinaK's 80lb. Pure Luxury cardstock in Black Versafine ink and embossed with Clear Detail Embossing powder and then colored in with Copic markers.

Below is a full view of the inside - Isn't he cute with his little love conversation balloon? heehee... I just love this card and can't wait to give it to Isaiah for Valentines day!

Thanks for stopping by and have fun checking out Alma's The Cat's Pajamas stamps!!
